Randy Parker
Has anyone watched this five-week series? We just caught up on DVR tonight. It's been okay IMO.

Voice of Reason
Tried it. Wanted to watch but it just didn't work. Just OK. Moved too fast, didn't spend enough time on the stories.
ekubum
I've enjoyed it overall. They have took some liberties but it's still good that projects like this are being done.
Lawnboy13
I have enjoyed this one, but really love The Vikings.
Jumper_Dad
Tried it. Wanted to watch but it just didn't work. Just OK. Moved too fast, didn't spend enough time on the stories. How many episodes would that take, to get in the entire Bible?
nkypete
I would have like to have seen the story of the Old Testament Joseph. I know they can't do everything, but that one is big IMO. They could have easily done 20 2-hour episodes instead of just five. I'll be curious to see how they do the New Testament. Do they stop at Easter or Pentecost or do they go through Acts? They're going to cover everything after Acts, all the way to Revelation, from what I've read. Agree on Joseph. My favorite Biblical character. :thumb:

My favorite Biblical character. :thumb: Good to hear about including Acts. I don't see how they can go much further than that, because the rest of the New Testament are not "stories", but mostly letters to individuals or churches. Randy Parker
If Wikipedia's breakdown is accurate, the 10th & final hour--the second hour of the Easter Sunday night finale--will include everything from Jesus' ascension to Revelation. All Tell
I listened to an interview with creators Mark Burnett and Roma Downey recently on the radio. They said that the Joseph story had been written but because of time constraints it was not filmed and that they were disappointed about that. I also read a description of the finale that says it will cover the Resurrection, the martyrdom of the disciples and the escape of John to Patmos. nkypete
I like the series; however, it seems that the stories that were picked were those that contained violence. Might be touch to have the kiddies watching.
Randy Parker
I like the series; however, it seems that the stories that were picked were those that contained violence. Might be touch to have the kiddies watching. I thought the same. And while I can't remember specifics off the top of my head, there have been a couple of times where they have added violence when violence isn't spelled out in Scripture. Through 3 episodes I still say it's okay. Not bad, but not great either.
nkypete
I know real angels are not the cute little white creatures with wings that carry candles, but "ninja angels"? That's a little bit odd! Different topic - did you hear about the "conspiracy theory" with the actor playing Satan being an Obama look-alike? Pretty funny.
