Is it your opinion that the official should have ignored the forearm to the chest that was thrown by Richmond's big?

No, they shouldn't ignore it, but why not go to the monitor as they almost always do and be sure and get the call correct.

I don't think that's an option.

As it does for the referees as well.

 

I agree with that. But the ref did not have somebodies arm wrapped around his head as the ball went in the basket. So it was easy for him to tell that it was a dead ball at that point. Any other time in a game that goes from live ball to dead ball gets a whistle or a horn. Maybe the rule should be changed that as the free throw goes in the basket the ref blows his whistle.:idunno:

Agree

Second guy often gets caught. Such was the case. Over reaction to the hand on the head - though that was the original foul. But the ref did not see it or was blocked. But a big shove like that - gonna get called.
