The Side The Mainstream Media Rarely Reports

Featured Replies

The notion, taken to the extreme - that if everyone owned and carried a handgun, there would be no crime - is absurd.

So is the opposite extreme. Somewhere in the middle is where we need to be. I'm just not all that convinced that we're exactly where we need to be.

Somewhere in the middle like choosing for yourself, ?? Having the right to do so??? hmmmm.

Personally, I believe an armed society is a polite society, as in criminals not knowing if you're armed makes them think twice or or more about committing the crime.

I still say the MSM is firmly in the gun control camp, I'll give anyone the the chance to prove me wrong though.

I agree that the MSM is in the gun control camp, as is the clear majority of the US. The MSM is clearly more left than right. But in this day and age, there is plenty of right side media out there as well. It isn't like 90% of the media is on the left. I would put it around 65% left and 35% right. Much of that is the nature of the people who get jobs in the MSM, who are left more than right.

The key point I will add to this - the whoa is me attitude of the right and belief that the "non-believers" are brain washed is a bunch of baloney.

It has been proven in places with mandatory gun ownership that crime is greatly reduced, and in places with strict gun control laws crime is vastly increased...

No it hasn't

Just as you have no desire to live, and a fear of living, in an environment where gun ownership is prohibited, I have no desire to, and a fear of, living in an environment where gun ownership is mandatory. There are people who do not wish to own guns for many different reasons. And there are those who should not be allowed to own guns for various reasons.

I don't buy that one bit. Criminals don't know NOW whether you are armed. It doesn't stop them from committing their crimes.

They know it if they're in a gun free zone.
They know it if they're in a gun free zone.

You didn't stipulate that, so I didn't respond in that vein.
