That the mainstream media loves to report shootings (steady and persistent) because they're in the gun control camp, but they rarely report where someone is saved by a citizen with a gun.

I just read the story. I think it is interesting that RTS used a MSM story to make the point that the MSM doesn't report this type of story. Also, which of the bills working their way through the Senate would have prohibited this man from carrying?

I DID, however, state that gun bans (in a flippant manner) DO indeed keep citizens from owning guns.

The notion, taken to the extreme - that if everyone owned and carried a handgun, there would be no crime - is absurd.

 

So is the opposite extreme. Somewhere in the middle is where we need to be. I'm just not all that convinced that we're exactly​ where we need to be.

It has been proven in places with mandatory gun ownership that crime is greatly reduced, and in places with strict gun control laws crime is vastly increased...

Personally, I believe an armed society is a polite society, as in criminals not knowing if you're armed makes them think twice or or more about committing the crime.

I still say the MSM is firmly in the gun control camp, I'll give anyone the the chance to prove me wrong though.

I believe that those are statistically Democrat-controlled areas, so there are a combination of factors at play...joblessness, increased welfare, general depression, blame and general malaise as well as strict gun control laws. :laugh:
