I heard that Tony Hentz will start at QB on Wednesday.

Seems to me like he throws a good ball (scrimmage). I think CCH will be fine with him at QB.

Tony will do absolutely fine I have no doubt. He's got a terrific arm and is a fast kid. Not as powerful a runner from the QB spot as CVH but few are.

Was just wondering as I sometimes do:

With the Cooper vs CovCath Frosh game coming up this Wednesday at 6pm (which is near the highest heat of the day) and with the temps predicted to be in the mid 90's, I was wondering if Cooper will be forced to move the game back a hour or so until the heat index gets below 101, or is there some other game being played after Frosh game that would prevent the move?

I've heard through my sources that Vonhandorf was hurt in basketball and out indefinitely. Any word on his condition?

Question I have is, way was the kid still playing basketball.

I can not see a kid practicing/playing football then going to play basketball.

You need time to heal up after practicing/playing any sport.

I can not believe CovCath would permit this.

I agree with you 100% but I doubt they asked for Cov Cath's permission. Probably viewed it as a low risk shoot a round at the time. That'll learn ya dern ya.

This group is going to be special. Looking forward to the next four years.

I agree with what you are saying. However, in the competitive world we live in a lot athletes feel that if they are not working on their out of season sport in conjunction with the sport that is in season that they may lose their edge over other players. I know of a recent CCH grad that would do summer football conditioning and practice while also playing high level summer baseball and squeeze in a summer CCH basketball workout or game if time allowed. Not sure it was the best thing in the long run but he was doing what he thought he needed to to to compete.

While practicing in both sports during the summer up until the dead period is common place, it typically is shut down and there focus on strictly football once July hits for most squads. However, if anyone know CVH he's like an energizer bunny who continuously works hard at both sports. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

First, an injury like this can happen with him shooting around on the driveway with his dad. I don't think he's off playing a pickup game on a sandlot.

As far as any team "permitting" this. For GODS sake, he's playing Freshman football. He didn't sign a NFL contract or even commit to a college. From what I understand, he's a stellar athlete that will probably focus on Basketball. For now, I would think any team will take whatever effort he's willing to put forth. Clearly he's a hard worker. I believe I read on here last year that he shoots basketball everyday. No one has the right to restrict that. Eventually, he will have to make a choice. He is in his first year of High School, let him enjoy it in his own way.

If Cov Cath wants to restrict what he can do, I'm sure many other programs will love any part of him. I'll raise my hand for Beechwood and others can get in line behind me.

CVH, Keep working hard on all of your sports. I look forward to you representing NKY in whatever sport you choose to take to the next level. Many are wishing you a Speedy Recovery Son.

Word is CVH has a hip injury that is going to keep him out for a few weeks. Anyone?
