I don't have to know who it is if they tell me their story. They left names out

Fair enough, but who is to say they are being completely forth coming.

I have no way to tell, but they took the time to type a very long and detailed message explaining the situation. I didn't tell the entire story, but I believe them. Also coincides and is very similar to others that are coming forward on this board now.

Exactly, my point they could be giving a clouded version.

I am only making this one statement. As stated earlier in the thread every coach has a style that works for them. Your going to have people that like it and some that don't. You will never make everyone happy. You will have lots of critics and people that base their entire opinion of you based on one or two games. I will be honest I formed an opinion of one of your coaches based on 1 game last year then had the pleasure to meet this person and realized that my opinion was very wrong.

Nell has always done things her way. Right wrong or sometimes even more wrong and has always gotten results! None of us are ever gonna totally agree with all her tactics. LETS PUT THIS TOO REST BOYS AND GIRLS AND GET A GOOD NIGHT OF SLEEP. Good luck in the upcoming softball season RC!

That could be the best caption of them all!

We have a winner.

We always kiss and make up! This isn't our first rodeo! "Discussion" is good.

Doesn't bother me. I just thought it was a good caption.

It has been interesting for me watching basketball games since this thread went up and seeing other coaches get into their players similarly to what we see in the picture. I have seen similar episodes by several coaches with players just in the past week.

Bottom line for me, I think there are a lot of people that just don't care for coaches getting into players like this. I will say this, on the girls side I think it is difficult for a male coach to get after players like this in high school. I believe female coaches can. Not being sexist, just stating reality. I have coached high school girls in summer basketball leagues over the years and my style is very different because of how girls react to criticism. Today, I am not sure people would tolerate this coaching style by a male coach. Am I wrong on that? I don't watch enough girls basketball to see all the coaches. Are there any male coaches that are this intense during games? Are there any other female coaches who coach like this?

Very good points and I think you could be right about male coaches/female coaches.

I think in this situation more than anything else it just comes down to love/hate. Nell is one of those coaches you either love or you hate, very little in between for anyone that knows of her.

You are right though, I've seen coaches get after players this year also but I think Nell just may be a lightning rod for her critics more time than not.
