Well you have to be one of the 2 best teams in that tournament to have a chance to go down state so I think there are a lot of people that care about districts.

I don't think I ever called Nell a genius. What I didn't do was basically call her a bad coach like you have.

ND and NCC will be the team to beat in regions next year, I agree with that, but does that mean they are the best coaches also?

I don't know if they are or aren't, just asking the question because apparently it sounds like you base good coaching on how a team does in regionals, unless of course it's a Nell coached team, and then you say it's only because she had good players. So it sounds to me you will never give her any credit due to your hatred toward the lady.

Again, never said she was a bad basketball coach. I don't agree with her tactics with her players. Or refs for that matter! Or disrepect for other programs! Yes, I know a lot about it. But not going to go there.

I can't answer the question why kids want to transfer there either, but maybe it's the same reason some football players transfer to schools like Highlands or Trinity because they like the program and want a chance to win. I'd also guess that some transfer to schools because of the coaches, so why would Boone be any different for girls basketball?

I'm not one who has really ever followed girls basketball. I couldn't name 2 players on any other team in the region. This year was the first year I actually went to a lot of games and it was only because of personal reasons and had nothing to do with the teams playing etc. I'm a novice when it comes to girls basketball in the area.

To show you how much I was lacking in this area's girls basketball, I never knew who Nell was before this year. I have no kids that go to Boone, didn't know anything about her. Simply because I never followed girls Basketball much at all. I went to 1 game all of last year.

What I'm trying to say is I was not the big time Nell defender that you have made me out to be. I learned by watching how she coached her butt off this year and turned a team that wasn't supposed to do anything in a "average district" as you say tto winning a district championship which may not mean a lot to you but to the girls oon that team it meant a lot.

Now with your last post saying things such as she doesn't respect other teams etc. I didn't see any of that at all and statements like that make you sound like you hold a grudge for some reason. When you make statements like that in public forum I think we all deserve you to explain such comments.

How has she disrespected other programs? Inquiring minds would like to know. Like I said, I'm not a Nell expert at all so please educate me.

And yes, you basically said she iis a bad coach when you continued to make statements saying she can't win unless she gets great transfers. That pretty much says she can't coach, she needs great players and that is the only way she can win.

Who was the great transfers she had this year that won districts for her? Just curious.

One last question for you Rc, you said winning district is no big deal because district is avg at best. So what exactley did Highlands do? I guess that district was weak also. I guess all the districts in NKY are avg at best. Highlands made it 1 game further than Boone did, yet Boone is avg. Did Highlands win regionals? Does that make them avg? They lost to the same team Boone lost to in the regionals. I guess Highlands coaches just can't get it done unless they have great transfers.

That is basically what you've said about Boone and their coach, so hopefully you see what I was trying to point out on things you said that sounded a little silly.

I understand you don't like her, that is fine. I'm not here to tell anyone who they should or shouldn't like.. I just don't think it's fair to compare coaches to different standards and it sounds like that is what you are doing.

I would say her success may have been assisted by some very talented transfers ending up on her doorstep over the years.

What does that statement say to you? It sounds like to me you are saying she isn't a very good coach and the only reason she has been succesful is because of very talented transfers, no credit to the coach at all.

So you ask where you said she wasn't a good coach? Statemetns like that pretty much makes it sound that way to me.

"Assisted" by the help. Doesn't mean I think she is a bad coach. And that was in response to you saying how successful she has been, but now find out you don't know her from Adam except for this year.

Did I say HHS was a great team anywhere? Funny how you put words in all my comments! They did beat Boone twice this year and one of them was almost a running clock!

And you're right. All the districts were weak this year. The 9th region was weak in my opinion. It was competitve inside the region, but not good compared to many other regions. A lot of average teams. I didn't say anything about winning our district. If you can't make it to region, it's pretty weak. NCC has an excuse because our district doesn't seed. A team that got beat by 4 touchdowns went from our district. Tell me what team was really any good in this region when it was all said and done. Don't look at records...what teams were actually good. 1-2 maybe. They all just beat up on each other.

The transfers helped her win regions, not districts. There were no elite tranfers, thats why they were average and didnt win the region, just like everyone else. I could care less about district championships and I'm sure that's not Nell's main goal either.

I'll be glad to answer your question....which one do you want me to answer, your posts are actually longer than mine so it's hard to dicipher which question you are referring to.

Now I will make a few comments. About your military remark. High School athletes are also the same age as some military personnel. I joined the military when I was 17 after I grauduated. There are high school players older than that.

The comment you make saying coaches can yell but not like that....what do you mean by that? You weren't at the game, you have no clue what was said or how long it went on...actually I was at the game and if you look closely at the picture how do you know she wasn't yelling at the referree? she does do that too....where is she looking? My point being is you jump to too many conclusions with little evidence to back up your conclusions.

She was yelling at the players on this particular pic to save you time, but you see my point.....look at the pic. What I'm trying to say is you have no idea what was said. you are so determined to think she belittled and degrated the player yet you really don't know what was said do you?

To answer your question about me coaching girls. Yes I coached a girls softball team back in the early 90's...they were 10 year olds and no i didn't yell at them, it wasn't my style. I also coached soccer before I had kids and I did yell sometimes at the players on that team, you have to know how to motivate different players and know how certain players will respond and how to get them to respond.

So what particular question do you want me to answer?

Unless there is a referee standing between coach and #21, I'll go out on a limb and say that #21 is catching the wrath of Coach. Just sayin' ...

I wonder if you say the same about Dale at HHS?

I do know she has over 600 wins, garunteed it's several hundred more than you have.

Still haven't answered my question though, you avoiding it?

you put it out there, so please tell me how she disrespects other teams.

"Highlands is pathetic!! Their coaches stink! Do not let them score again!!"

And now we know the rest of the story. :)

Not avoiding it. I told you I would not talk about it...even if you really want to know. It's not HHS that I heard anything from...it's other programs.

And yes, she probably has more wins than me. But maybe not many. AAU plays year round and I've been coaching for a long time. Really, don't be a kid about it! "she has more wins than you!" Really??? However, that's why she's a good coach! A lot of wins! Just the "how" she coaches is what I don't approve of.

That's okay, you both can throw stones at HHS. I'm not defending them at all. However, I will say 61-35 was the score the last time those two met. Could have very easily been A LOT worse! HHS called off the dogs!
