St. Xavier 2013 Football Schedule

Featured Replies

Every Friday morning for the past 2 months they have had morning workouts. Military instructors and other workout specialists have been special guests to lead the workouts. Coach W knows a lot of people and are pulling all the strings to whip this team into shape. We'll see how this works come spring practice time!

He brings in some nice characters.

Nochristmastree is referring to the old St. X football field. The one that only hosted if memory serves me right 1 varsity game. Paul M. Young field was the sight for some great JV and Freshmen games!

I follow Coach Wolford on twitter and a tweet from him this morning; is St. X doing morning workouts?

I know, I was just saying it was the wrong field.

Look, the Bombers lost one RB to injury two years ago and could not get it done on Paul M Young Field versus an average St. Xavier squad. The Bombers cannot afford to take this game for granted. Of course, if the Tigers prevail, the Bombers may decide to decline future encounters. The Bombers may even buyout the contract and invite Simon Kenton to Tom Tallaban Field.

Yeah, that 7-3 loss to the Tigers was kind of unexpected in 2011 for a Bomber team that went to the state semis in Ohio before abadonding the only gameplan that was scoring them points. That runningback was the workhorse of the running game. He's all St. X had besides a sophomore, who was no Hundley. I also know the starting QB was in and out of the game for various injury-related reasons. There was no depth. Once a starter was out, it was over for that position.

What I laughed at is how you gave Cincy X their credit but dismissed Lou X. That's what I laughed at.

This game is usually a very hard fought game on both sides.

I know, I was just saying it was the wrong field.

Br. Thomas More Stadium is the stadium name, but the field is called Paul M. Young Field... Come on AT

I didn't realize that the field was still named Paul M. Young Field...

Neither did I.

Save them.

They can't; that is why the Tigers are going undefeated. See how that works?!?!

You younger Tigers do not recognize the name of your field at Thomas More Stadium. That is an insult to Mr. Young and to many St. Xavier Alumni. I knew Mr. Young and know his two sons personally.

X will travel to Simon Kenton this year for the scrimmage game should be a good one to watch.

In response to All Tell.

Doubtful.
