Difference between Liberals and Conservatives

Featured Replies

It's not that I thought you were painting a rosy picture for the liberal side, it's the way you presented the conservative side, fear of change. I disagree. You can't tell me one side is afraid of change and the other side isn't, doesn't come across well and doesn't work.

I'm giving examples of the two ideologies as StudentNewsDaily.com labeled them as the way the average American thinks, not government. I think it's pretty accurate.

I don't think he was trying to present conservatives negatively. If you look at the definition of conservative, it is fear of change or to limit change.

At least you're consistent where as most liberals are not. And FWIW I ain't buying you're not liberal, sorry.

Your opinion!

Just like it's your opinion that any limitation on abortion is an attempt to stifle a woman's rights.

Yep! That's why individual rights exist because opinions differ.

Your opinion!

Correct.

Ah, heck we live in an era where no one takes responsibility for anything. Let someone else deal with it. Starts from the very top of the leadership in our government and trickles all the way down to the bottom. Like my papaw used to say, that stuff rolls downhill.

So based on your statements a mother or father can choose to not support their children, because they believe it is their Right to do what they want? They are choosing to not support or abandon their child because they don't believe others have the right to tell them what to do. Is this ok?

What part of their right didn't you understand? I'm not saying I agree with it, but it their individual right.

Why not?"
Because if the change isn't what one side agrees with, they don't want or "fear" it. Doesn't matter which side ideologically you're on.
It's not about suppressing women? So, what would you call it?
I just told you, but of course you chose to ignore it.

You tell spindoc it's his opinion when he calls it responsibility yet you call it suppression and tout it as fact. Mighty lofty view you have there.

Why does the child have no individual rights?

Nothing like a "which foods suck" or "liberal/conservative differences" to get a conversation rolling!

Depends on which scientist you ask..

Is it not his opinion? He say's it's responsible to not make the choice for whatever reason. Others may think different. I don't fully understand what you are referring to with the suppression.
