Problem #1. Mercer was underrated all year. Their players play harder thAn anyone in the region. Period.....not the most talented team but has a huge heart and motor! PROBLEM#2 never underestimate your opponent! #3 Mercer has talent! Talent now and next year and the year after! THEY WERE LED BY A FRESHMAN TONIGHT! AND the sophomore class is talented as well...

What has happened with the Kapinga kid?? He had a sensational state tournament last year and I haven't heard a word of him since.

Whoa! Congrats to Mercer! :thumb:

Mercer just kept driving the ball into the lane and kicking to the corners for open 3's. Southwestern kept leaving the shooters and the Titans made them pay over and over. I would say that Mercer hit 15 3's tonight. The Warriors had it won in regulation but committed a silly foul 22 feet from the basket on an inbounds play with 0.5 seconds to go. Mercer hit both free throws to send it to overtime. Very exciting game to watch.

Stunning result. Congrats to the Titans :thumb:

On the way home from Letcher County Central, Coach Bentley's face was in shock when he saw this score.

Congrats Titans

I agree with problem #2 and #3. Mercer wasn't underrated though.

He was Southwestern's best player this season. Southwestern just wasn't as good this season as they were last season.
