February 23, 201313 yr ^ We stopped throwing rocks at things that were different. So you are OK with your daughter, sister or wife having to accept a man in the bathroom with her just because he says he wants to dress like a woman? Keep in mind he has not surgically turned himself into a woman, he is just saying he wants to be a woman. For the record, I am not OK with it. Why should all the women in the building be uncomfortable because of one selfish moron?
February 23, 201313 yr So, just out of curiosity after reading this and hearing how people think the world is changing too much to the absurd side of things, can some of you understand why there are those that fear that allowing gay marriage (rather than civil unions) may down the road lead to other marriage demands? I'm not saying I feel one way or the other, I'm asking if you can understand their reasoning. After all, who'd thought we'd being seeing crap at schools like what's in that article or what ggclfan described at the workplace?
February 23, 201313 yr I can think of a couple guys in high school that would have claimed they're a girl in order to get into the girls locker room during gym class. Particularly if the shool couldn't talk to their parents about it.
February 23, 201313 yr This country is getting more comical every day. It all started with the hippies man. It's like the LSD they took in the 60s just keep seeping through each generation.

February 23, 201313 yr I graduated from High School in '65 I found out last year that one of my classmates has gone the full change and is now a woman .I mentioned this to my wife and she said that she works with someone who has done that . It is the same guy (woman ) . She is one of the strangest women that I have seen . The up shot is that I double dated to the senior prom with this person . I have stopped her and said hello to her outside my wife's work . It was an interesting conversation to say the least .

I definitely think that after gays get full marriage rights it's just a short time before polygamists start demanding full marriage rights using exactly the same arguments as gays.
February 23, 201313 yr I definitely think that after gays get full marriage rights it's just a short time before polygamists start demanding full marriage rights using exactly the same arguments as gays. What's the big deal if they do? If everyone's consenting adults, why does it matter how many husbands or wives someone has?
February 23, 201313 yr No I don't understand it all. It's discrimination plain and simple. Not saying I agree with it, just thinking it's possible to see why they might think that way.
February 23, 201313 yr What's the big deal if they do? If everyone's consenting adults, why does it matter how many husbands or wives someone has?It matters to religions. It matters to people that believe that marriage is a religious union. That's why I'm for civil unions that give the same rights as marriage.

If that's the case, then all couples (heterosexual and otherwise) should be civil unions in a legal sense. Instead of the government referring to you and Mrs. RTS as married, they should refer to it as a civil union. Leave marriage solely up to a religious institution.

Instead of the government referring to you and Mrs. RTS as married, they should refer to it as a civil union. Leave marriage solely up to a religious institution. I've been saying this for years. My religious beliefs shouldn't dictate someone else's life, just as theirs shouldn't dictate mine.
February 23, 201313 yr Religion has nothing to do with my disgust at a transgender acting like everyone else should act like it is normal. That it should be able to choose whichever bathroom it feels like and everyone should be ok with that. Rocks don't need to be thrown but this kind of garbage is ridiculous. You shouldn't have to go to a private school to have some expectation of normalcy.
