That Alex Trentman dunk was classless. With 12 seconds left Scott stopped playing defense and he thought it was a perfect opportunity to score so he did. From my perspective it was selfish and classless.

 

I am all for not taking your foot off the gas and letting up but with under 20 seconds left in the game with that score. No reason for it. I really did like the way he played until then.

You are right. After that "thing of beauty" I mean "classless" dunk, Trentman should have apologized to those Scott players and offered them some fruit snacks. What was he thinking?

Who doesn't want to dunk in the regional final? Scott was still playing defense, Trentman made a nice move went up and slammed it home. He maybe hung on the rim to long but refs didn't call it so it is what it is. I see nothing wrong with it as I would of seen nothing wrong with a Scott player hammering Trentman not allowing him to slam it.

who picks the tournament team? and what do they use to decide who makes it?

I assume it is picked by each head coach. Non-final teams get one player, runner-up gets 2, champ gets 3 with MVP.

Saunders was 11-15 (73%) from the field from 2, and 1-2 from 3. Overall 12-17 (71%) and 7 of 8 (88%) from the free-throw line, for a 32 point performance. A pretty nice night at the office.

 

That was a career high for him, although he has scored 30 previously and been in the upper twenties with great regularity.

This may have been one of the fastest nonblowout games I have ever watched. 1st hals took 25 minutes and game was over 1:25. Neither team reached the bonus in the first half.

The few times I've seen Saunders play this year, I've came away impressed.

No problem, holmes. Emotions take over which we see repeated on BGP on a daily basis. It's one more example of why I like to watch tape of a game after hearing how horrible the officiating was. When you watch it on film with no emotional attachments, it's never as bad as reported.

Congrats to Brossart on winning the 37th and all of the players on the all tourney team. Pouncey was not in the box score this morning but I saw him play against Campbell County the other night and he is a very nice player. Looks like points do not matter when selecting an all tourney team. Glad to see someone recognizing a total effort. Jackson was also amazing to watch. He and Mcgovney threw their teams on their shoulders in the semis.

Sounds like Saunders had a whale of a game last night. I got to see very little of him in the semis the other night as I showed up late for the Brossart game to see the Scott/CC game, but he put on a beautiful move right when I walked in before half. Also got to see the Trentman dunk in that game (and just watched the video of last nights effort) that boy has some hops. One of the most athletic kids in NKY. Lots of upside.
