You're out of your mind PP. It was an exhibition game, one in which LeBron was the primary ball handler. The current LeBon in a real game would take Kobe to the post and do horrible things to him. Historically, LeBron likes to and is better at going left. I think last night was Kobe playing hard and LeBron just trying to get through the game.

It would be interesting but it wasn't that fun when he was with the Wizards I can't imagine who that old fart would be like now. :lol:

 

Michael Jordan wasn't MJ of old with the wiz. But in his last season with wiz still averaged 20ppg 6 boards and 4 Assists while shooting around 45% from field . He was still a good player just wasn't great anymore.

Most do not realize how much Jordan prepared for the game and his opponents. He watched file and found tendencies and then he beat you mentally so much the physical didn't play as big a role.

 

There are and always will be a ton of better athletes, bigger basketball players, maybe even players with a better skill set.

He said LBJ is the most dominant player today. Gave Kobe the edge due to rings.

Yea after watching the complete interview this quote was blown out proportion. He didn't rip LeBron.

Believe that if you want to Lebron apologist. Pride and ego always comes to play in the last 5 minutes of the All Star game. Especially when dealing with Kobe. DWade got mad and broke his nose and concussed him last year. You can say Lebron was trying to get through the game all you want but he sure couldn't score once Kobe started picking him up full court. He got blocked not once but twice by Kobe. Call it what you want. Kobe issued a challenge on the court and Lebron failed to respond. Period.

I am not buying for one second the LBJ was not forced in to playing hard against Kobe. They are human and have heard all the rumblings about the Jordan discussion and comparisons of late. Now LBJ probably didn't want any part of it, that I can buy, but he was dug in and trying to score on Kobe on four consecutive plays. The first resulted in a block and breakaway dunk. The second he drove it and was stripped of the ball. The third he faded on the baseline and Kobe knocked it off James yet they gave the East the ball. The last play James got it to the rim and Kobe fouled him not letting him score (then appropriately James missed one of the FTs ). I thought it was great theater and for me the highlight of the game besides watching Chris Bosh air ball two jumpers, have Tony Parker take it between his legs, and Kobe crossing him over. :lol: Poor guy.

To me it was more of a shot at the media's irresistible need to crown James as the greatest of all time when his body of work is nowhere near complete. James is just caught in the middle of it. After 3 MVPs and for years being regarded as the game's best, he (finally) wins a title, has a career 6-9 record in NBA finals, and is on a great run and all the sport's shows want to bring out the gold standard comparison. Heck, a lot of this was being done before he got the ring and crap like that irritated Jordan because he wants to be known as the greatest.

Kind of a strech for Lakers fans to harp on 2 plays in a All-star game in a season when Kobe is leading a team that won't make the playoffs.

If both were playing their hardest, why can't Kobe do that in a real game against LeBron? LeBron has never been one to get up for every moment. He checked out of the finals two years ago but he was playing hard at this all-star game? Please,please, please let the Lakers some how make it to the Finals so the King can put Kobe into retirement mode.
