Kind of a strech for Lakers fans to harp on 2 plays in a All-star game in a season when Kobe is leading a team that won't make the playoffs.

 

 

Wrong. It was 4 plays and Bugatti isn't a Laker fan or a Kobe guy. I'd has said the same if CP3 had dug in on Lebron or Wade or Kyrie and locked him up for 4 straight plays. It was as entertaining as Kyrie and Brandon Knight going back and forth on Friday night with Kyrie winning that battle. I'd love to talk about that also if you want. I enjoy the game of basketball and had Lebron destroyed Kobe on those 4 consecutive plays then I'd be talking about that. Just as I am sure you would be too.

If both were playing their hardest, why can't Kobe do that in a real game against LeBron? LeBron has never been one to get up for every moment. He checked out of the finals two years ago but he was playing hard at this all-star game? Please,please, please let the Lakers some how make it to the Finals so the King can put Kobe into retirement mode.

 

 

They don't guard each other in regular season games. Maybe they will now.

 

 

Kobe already said he has 2 more years left. Lebron couldn't put Kobe into retirement mode even if he was the greatest player on the planet.

I guess he enjoyed becoming the story and the butt of jokes after the All Star game. Wise choice, Lebron. Wise choice. He really is selfless with no ego isn't he? I don't disagree that Kobe got the better of Lebron on those plays. I'm just questioning the relevance. If Kobe's team was still relevant maybe my opinion would be different. The Fact is Lebron is the best player on the planet right now. A few plays in the All Star game doesn't change that. I'm not a Lebron fan either. I'm guessing when Lebron repeats this year and Kobe doesn't make the playoffs no one will remember that stretch of plays.

Now let's look at how many people in the world that can play defense like Kobe and then you have your relevance.
