Just going to throw this out there. Anderson beat OWEN AT OWEN and Owen beat Grant at Grant. Anderson also beat Collins. So' date=' the logic used to put Grant aboive Anderson is not there. Maybe they are better I don't know, just saying.[/quote']

SK beat Owen and South Oldham, Grant beat SK twice. You really can't use that logic...

Owen beat Grant at Owen. Maybe they will meet in the region if they both make it,that will end the question.

I agtee... You cant use that logic. Same as you can't use logic to say Grant is best of the rest after south and Collins.

Grant Co. 73

Gallatin Co. 56

Grant Co. 13 20 23 17 73

Gallatin Co. 6 15 15 20 56

Grant Co. (22-4) -- Hicks 24, Anglin 13, Adkins 4, Cummins 9, Carr 20, Saylor 3.

Gallatin Co. (14-10) -- Beckham 3, Chapman 4, Morgan 24, Brown 1, Herndon 11, O'Connor 8, McCubbin 2, Wesley 3.

Think Grant's schedule will be there undoing when it comes to regionals. Besides beating SK twice they don't have many quality wins. They have a decent team but I would take S. Oldham, Anderson Co, and Collins over them anyday.

Looking at Anderson's schedule I see a lot of similarity with the Grant Co. schedule. They have played 7 common opponents. Garrard Co.,Walton Verona, Beechwood, Bracken Co., Gallatin Co., Owen Co. and Berea. There were 2 other common opponents that cancelled their Grant Co. game which were Carroll Co. and Spencer Co. So to say that Grant County doesn't have many "QUALITY" wins is like the pot calling the kettle black!

Anderson did beat Collins so that is 1 quality win. They also beat Owen so I'll give you 1 for that since Grant lost at Owen by 6. Now Anderson lost to Shelby Co. which is near the bottom of the Regional standings, they also lost to Mercer who is middle of the pack in the 12th and they only beat Rockcastle by 2 and near the bottom in the 12th with a 7-20 record. Now by you own admission Grant has 2 quality wins over Simon Kenton, so I don't think Anderson Co. has distanced themselves from the majority of the 8th region.

It is a known fact that only 1 team will come out of the 8th region on top and this year there are several teams that could claim the top spot. So I wouldn't toot that horn too loud! What I think doesn't matter but regardless of the outcome for Grant Co. this year I'll take the boys from Dry Ridge over ANYBODY in the 8th region!

Anyone from Anderson should be belittling any other school's schedule. If they switched schedules with Gallatin, both teams records would be drastically different.

Anyone from Anderson should not be belittling any other school's schedule. If Andrerson and Gallatin switched schedules, their records might be drastically different.

Just thinking Grant can win the region makes me fall out of my chair laughing hard! :deadhorse:

Gentlemen, let's not get to excited about Grant Co. winning the Region. Nice job on regular season wins, but as mentioned before very soft schedule. They have some nice players, but when Collins, Anderson, or any of the Oldhams press you...Your in trouble...Your ball handling is mediocre at best. On another note: Agree with Mack about Gallatins schedule..Very Tough! Unfortunately, Morgan is all they have this season...

Guys, both schedules are subpar. No reason to argue that...
