I think he'll be just fine.. at 6' 210 LBS, he's no pip squeak.. He's even been quoted as saying he likes going over the middle, because it doesn't scare him.. He's not afraid of contact.

I know he loves Football more than any other sport, but I think it'd be great if UK also let him play Baseball...if he is up to the grind of both sports in College along with his studies. I love watching him on the diamond.

 

What a great athlete. He and AJ Collins were from the same mold and this county is lucky to have both of them to watch play multiple sports the last 4 years.

To my knowledge he has no interest in playing both sports in college. D1 football is basically a full time job. Add class work to that and you've got a full plate. No reason to sacrifice success in one sport or the other just to say "I played two sports in college".

 

Maybe at a smaller school that would be an option. But not at UK. no question he has the skills to do it, but it's not going to happen. 1.) I highly doubt UK football would allow it and 2.) pretty positive Fogle haven't even considered the option, nor will he.

I was so impressed with this kid in the first round of the playoffs. He is a stud. Good luck to him.

I thought it might be a stretch, not to say it isn't done at big time colleges, but it is rare. I will just enjopy this season even more knowing it could be the last time we see him on the diamond.....until the 30 and over softball beer leagues :ylsuper:

They are so similar, from the same mold, because they were taught the basic fundamentals in both sports by the same coach and AJ spent so much time at the Fogle house growing up. He is like one of their own sons.

Cam will be competing with HHS grad Austin Sheehan as well. S/B interesting.

2 great families. 2 great kids. 2 schools in the county that should be very proud for what they've done over the last 4 years.

With the lack of depth at wide receiver, he may have a shot at playing a good amount this year.

Cam is working really hard in the weight room..I see and talk to him at Fitworks from time to time and dude is always in there. Has gotten bigger since the end of football season. Looking forward to seeing how he does at UK. I wish him nothing but the best.

I have heard his name twice in the past two days on KSR.. I have read a couple articles that he's mentioned in since camp started this week. Coaches are taking notice. Ive said it all along, but ill say it again, I will not be surprised one bit to see #83 making plays on the field for the Cats this season.

Wish he would have taken baseball more seriously, he could be on a D1 Baseball scholly if he worked a little bit more at it and took it as serious as football. But he is, albeit a walkon, playing in a D1 football team. Great kid and goodluck to him as he works hard to get on the field this fall

Actually he did get a lot of attention for his baseball. Was actually considered by a couple MLB Teams who thought about drafting him. Football is his first love and he wanted to play it at the next level and that is why he chose football over baseball.
