I think Cameron is well aware that he will have to battle not only for his spot but playing time year in and year out. True, they have a talented class coming in next year, as well as some stud receivers. If I know Cameron, and I think I do, that will further propel him to work his tail off. Competition can be a very good think and make each player, as well as the team, much better. I've seen many of these 3 and 4 star receivers play and I agree with Hellbird, he was just as good if not better than Timmons and many others who are on the way. That drive, along with a very, very big chip on his shoulder should ensure his success.

 

Frosh receivers are going to play this season. The returning receivers have now yet shown well and Brown has said frosh will play. That's great for Cam because it gives him one full season to establish his creds before the next class comes in.

 

Playing with Cam (they're thick as thieves) was certainly a factor. However, first and foremost was the new staff. If Drew didn't buy into Coach Stoops and Coach Brown he wasn't going - no matter who else was going there. Once Drew started getting excited about th enew staff then Cam became a factor.

Another random note from last night's practice: thought walk-on receivers Lucas Witt and Cameron Fogle looked really good, can help.

^ I was listening to Monday or Tuesday's KSR & Matt mentioned both players as guys that will very likely immediately contribute.
