Ya know, now that I think about your right. On the radio they said that Patterson averages like 13 ppg, while McDavid is more like 18 ppg. I also dont remember Patterson scoring 43 this season. Thanks for bringing that up Hoops #1. I dont think Patterson was an All-State DB either... :thumb:

Pretty quick in forgeting about not getting that tatoo aren't you? When will that lesson sink in?

It has to do with learning from having to eat crow. some people never learn.

Apparently Patterson is rated alot higher than Sheray Thomas coming out of high school...

Patrick Patterson

BTW he already has scholarship offers from Florida, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Georgia, West Virginia, and others. He's also rated in the top 75 for the class of 2007 nationally.

Good, they can have him....

I am sure he will end up at WVU with OJ and Walker anyway. He wasnt very impressive against Boyd early in the season either. Dont get me wrong, he would fit in with the present KY team, but I think there are a lot better juniors out there.

You have to remember one thing, it's not like Patterson on a team with a bunch of scrubs, Huntington has other talent other than him. Granted he is far and away the most talented Taylor and Williams can play as well, that in itself takes away alot of points he could get. And you can bet the farm that he is the focus of every defense he plays. He has size and athletic ability that is rare, he will turn out to be a fine division one college basketball player.

I dont really think an internet message board about high school sports is the place to learn lessons, or teach them. But thanks anyway bro. ;)

Surgalski has had a good career at an NAIA school, Patterson is being heavily recruited by a number of top 25 division 1 teams. I don't think Surgalski is in Pattersons league.

Surgalski originally signed with D1 Wright State. His high school numbers are much better than Pattersons.

AND Stephen Kidd's "numbers" for high school were much better than Surgalski, so what does that prove?

at41 - Surgalski was a very good player, and he even had a nice game against

UK, but he is not on the same planet when it comes to demand from the next level for his services as Patterson . Patterson could end up in the nba one day

pick battles you can win

I dont think you can win or lose battles based on personal opinion. In my opinion Surgalski was a better high school player than Patterson is, or will be. He may not have the athleticism that Patterson has, but I believe Surgalski's overall game was better. Surgalski had range which is one thing Patterson does not have. Watching him shoot free throws was brutal.

I never said he didn't sign with a division 1 team, I said he had a good career at an naia school. Patterson has the athletic ability to make money playing basketball, and will end up playing at a much better basketball school then Wright State. You have no argument here. Having a legit opinion and being biased are two totally different things.

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. As I remember, Surgalski's "range" did not extend past four or five feet from the basket. I remember when he tried to guard Marques Dawson out on the floor. His lack of speed and mobility were obvious to everyone including Flynn because the matchup was quickly changed. Now, put him right around the basket and his brute strength worked well against fairly equal or lesser athletes.

In my opinion, Surgalski's game resembled Brett Miller much more than Patrick Patterson.
