Its pretty much slow down ball.....

ok, now that the cats are back to their slow down ball, at41, just between you and me (and I promise not to tell) do you think that JUST MAYBE Ashland might be a better team right now if Miller had stayed? Just wondering if your views had changed over the course of the season :D

Rough day to be AT41 ....

Rough season to be AT41

According to the Daily Independent Patterson had 14 points and 17 rebounds. Sounds like a pretty good night's work to me.

If he were wearing an Ashland jersey iy would have been a good night. ;)

AT 41 I see why you do not coach. A team puts a guy in front and behind a player it will be hard to get 20 every night.

The kid is being recruited by big time schools.

I now see why you make such ridiculous posts about Ashland basketball. I guess McDavid is a better college prospect.

Thanks dude.

He had over 25% of his team's points. I have heard people compare this kid to S. Williams of Duke. I don't think you've ever been impressed with anyone that has played against Ashland.

Cmon now, I just said that I thought Owens and Vanhoose were both better than Patterson.

My memory gets worse every year, but I think AT41 thought Arlis Beach was a better basketball player.

He was a better defender, and his team beat OJ's when it mattered.

Nope, I sure dont. What has Miller done this year anyway, has anyone heard anything??

Miller is not a superstar, but he is 6.8 and you would probally have a winning record with him on the team

but at least your "consistent" :thumb:

Regardless of what the Tomcats do this season I still get the pleasure of being me. So I really should'nt complain about anything. ;)

A winning record? I doubt it. We would need Christ himself to come down on a chariot pulled by two big maroon stallions and patrol the sidelines for that to happen.

I think everyone should lighten up on AT41. All schools should have such dedicated and unwavering fans who are adept at turning defeat into something positive.

However, I must respond to his oft-stated dig that Beach's team beat Mayo "when it mattered". I assume he is referring to the district and regional wins in 2002. I would not completely disagree with him but would add that no one at Rose Hill would trade the wins at Ashland (December 15, 2001) and the "Mayo Miracle" (January 5, 2002) for either of those other games. History shows that Ashland played Lexington Catholic in the first round at Rupp Arena that year so their trip was cut rather short. It is unlikely that Rose Hill would have fared any better against Lexington Catholic in 2002.

AT41, on occasion, has posted, with great pride, that Ashland and Rose Hill split six games during the "Mayo Era". While that can be argued, it is also true that Ashland, in determining the district seed in 2003, in reality, forfeited two games to Rose Hill since Ashland refused to play them as required by seeding. Thus, Ashland, in determining the seeding order in 2003, was charged with two forfeitures to Rose Hill.

Therefore, since we can all spin according to our particular loyalties, I would contend, and rightfully so, that Rose Hill was 5-3 against Ashland during those two years.

Come on not a winning record. I don't think he would have made that big of a difference, maybe a few games but not that many.

I think everyone should lighten up on AT41. ...

I'm going to have to contact my Internet Service Provider. I'm getting some serious interference on my downloads.

Just kidding. ;)
