The NewCath boys program have the second most victories in the history of the All "A" tourney, 18-9 in 10 appearances. The Breds have one title to their name and that came back in 2000. This was their only time in the finals, they have lost 4 times in the semi's.

 

Bardstown on the other hand was a "hard luck" loser in the finals last year, losing to Cov. Holy Cross on a bank shot at the buzzer. Bardstown comes in with the 3rd most victories in this tourney at 17-5 in 6 appearances. They have made the finals 4 other times, with 1 title. 2006 W 53-50 over Owensboro Catholic, 2007 L 56-48 to Brossart, 2009 L 58-55 to Shelby Valley, & 2012 L 52-51 to Cov. Holy Cross. Bardstown is coached by former Louisville Cardinal James Brewer.

 

This has the makings of a dandy. What say you?

BTW, no one will be catching University Heights, they have the most victories and appearances in this tourney.....47-9 in 17 appearances with 8 titles.

NC has too much size and talent. Breds win by 10+.

Newcath should bring home the All A State title but they will have to play well to get the W. Bardstown is always a tough out in this tournament.
