11th and 6th would meet in the quarters. I'd say winner of that matchup meets Region 2 (Hoptown) in the semis.

That was my initial thought but Madison Central and Bullitt East are 1-1 against each other this year and Bullitt East only beat Henry Clay by 2 so the 11th is certainly capable of winning. If it is an 11th/6th quarterfinal then I'll say the winner of that game will meet the 7th Region on Sunday afternoon.

Agreed. Toughest game could be Montgomery County or John Hardin possibly. Barring any upsets. 4th Region could sneak a win in.

Which reminds me a story. I was a freshman in high school when Warren Central won state. By that time, Dragonfire had already graduated, but filmed for the team. Well anyways was staying out at the Holiday Inn in the northern area of Lexington with some friends and a couple of pastors from the church we all attended. I'm walking back to our room Saturday afternoon and heard some guy on the phone talking about how Mason County "is playing some Warren Central school." Needless to say I wish I would've found that guy when we went back to the hotel after the game.

 

With that being said, I'll take Hopkinsville and Ballard in the finals.

Yep, just like football, Cooper flies under the radar in the 9th.

Very tough draw for the mountains obviously. Region 7 team will be licking their chops. Could also give Montgomery Co. an opportunity to make a run to the semi's and set up a one-game scenario with Region 7.

 

On top, there will likely be a knock down, drag out in the quarterfinals between Region 6 and Region 11. I think it's a great draw for Hopkinsville. I've watched them play this season and they are a legitimate contender to advance to the finals.

 

It's too early to predict teams because anything can happen in district and regional tourneys but I think I'd go with Madison Central vs. Ballard if I was just throwing out a wild guess.
