Have they found a coach? I am hearing Chuck Smith is new head coach. Any truth to this?

I'd heard he turned it down. Just heard that today to be exact.

Not sure if any truth to this, but someone I know around Dunbar told me that Chuck was going to take the job, but Dunbar wouldnt let him hire the assistants he wanted so he backed out. Seems par for the course for Dunbar if true.

What a shame.

I heard what Harry D heard except I didn't hear it was because he couldn't name his assistants although that might be the case. I also heard this today as well. Very ironic that this thread popped up when we all heard different Chuck Smith rumors.

Why would anyone wand the Dunbar job???

Just what is a HC allowed to do at Dunbar or isnt allowed to do?

If true, Dunbar dropped the ball in a big way!

Dunbar missed the boat. You have the chance to hire a KY legend and get your program back to where is was more than a decade ago...but you cant let the guy bring in a few assistants??? Dunbar doesn't want to be successful, they want to have a team.

Dunbar seems to have a lot of troubles in their athletics department from what I am told by parents there. Its just a shame that is the case given the number of kids and talent that is there.

I've heard Paul Rains..

I have heard Paul Rains also.

I hear Paul Rains too, leaving Letcher Co Cent after 1 year.

Maybe Chuck Smith will go to Letcher.

PLD is having a press conference today at 2:30 PM in the PLD Library to introduce the new head football coach, according to the PLD Bulldogs Football Web Page.

Paul is a great guy and will get them turned around if they will let him.
