December 31, 201213 yr Author Dolamite posted this last month and I agree with it. Mike and Tony said it best on PTI yesterday, most people with anxiety disorders are narcissists. They usually feel that their problems are more important than other peoples problems and they feel that they are more important than other people. It's just how a lot of people with anxiety disorders are programmed to think whether its rational or not.

You would think that decision makers who are not well informed about mental health, would take the consultation and recommendation of those who are. You would think we would start to do everything possible to not let the tragic consequences befall us first, before we ask the logical question, "why?", "who knew?" "how could we have helped?. Why not take a proactive approach of "who knows?" "how can we listen?", "how can we support now?" Since those situation are so similar to whats going on here.

December 31, 201213 yr I've lost all sympathy for the kid. He's getting 3.3M to be a baby. He's going to ruin guaranteed contracts for the future. He shouldn't be getting one penny. He never had a problem playing basketball and dealing with his issues until he started getting paid for it.

January 7, 201313 yr Royce White reportedly wants Rockets, NBPA to sign special mental health protocol document - SBNation.com In the latest twist of the Royce White saga, Jeff Zillgitt of the USA Today reports that the Rockets rookie forward wants the team, the NBA, and the NBPA to sign an agreement with him that would establish a mental health protocol giving doctors authority regarding his situation. White has been at odds with the Rockets all season over how they have handled his anxiety disorder. He recently refused an assignment to the D-League, leading to a suspension on Sunday. White has reportedly told the Rockets that he will not show up for work unless the special agreement is signed by all parties, however, such an agreement is banned under the current collective bargaining agreement: According to the uniform player contract detailed in the CBA, "no amendments to the form of the Uniform Player Contract provided for by Section 1 of this Article shall be permitted," and if a team or player agree on such an amendment, "such Contract or subsequent amendment, as the case may be, shall be disapproved by the Commissioner, and consequently, rendered null and void."
