February 25, 201313 yr I don't think Lovell had the grades to be at UK. With offers from UK, Illinois and WVU, no way he turns one of those schools down for track... Remember this kid? He committed and then decided to throw shotput at a D2 school in Michigan? I talked to one of his high school coaches today. They are really disappointed as they thought he would have a great SEC career. Basically said the kid didn't want to work hard enough to play college football. Not a slam on the kid. He just didn't like it that much.
