Great win for the cats.One thing for sure when you play them you can't just shut one or two players down and beat them.All five can score.

 

Very true statement. Pendleton County had the same offensive balance last season as well.

Never said they weren't. Just making a point that they would be thinking what happend in their first two contests.

I have said it on more than occasion "this year's regional tournament will be one of the best in a long time". I can not wait til March.

The wildcats played great tonight (alot better than they did against NCC) and won a very big game. Tyler mains was great with his 32 points with 20 of them coming in the first half. Kane Beltcher played with alot of hustle considering he was sick all day. Everyone played good. Congrats to PC.

Good win for Pendleton. Don't think for a minute its not big for either team. They can talk about Brossart only having one day to prep and the Scott game meaning alot as far as seeding for the district, but they know that the Cats have beaten them twice including in their own gym. It will be in their minds if these two play again at the Fieldhouse in the regional tournament.

The only thing I've ever heard is it's almost impossible to beat a good team 3 times in the same season.

I used to watch TJ Turner and Mark Mains( Tyler's dad) play together many years after they were out of school on a community goal in Peach Grove, Tyler was always with him, i have always known Tyler would be something special and when it came down to it he lit it up tonight, i feel he played really unselfish ball last year during their run to Rupp and a few more games like this with the weapons they have and they will definetly go back-- great game Tyler Mains way to go Cats

If Tyler continues to play like this the rest of the season PC will make a great run in State this year.

I don't know when the last time it was that I seen a game of this magnitude. It was electrifying!!!!! "RUPP ARENA" in the near future......GoCatsGo!

So how was the attendance, obviously I'm sure it was packed but did most people that showed up get in?

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum - the game did NOT sell out. Fans were lined up as early as 4pm which assured them a great seat for the JV game and a look at the Mustang Freshmen practice when the doors opened at 5pm, but the game never sold out. You could have walked up and gotten in to the game at scheduled start up time at 7:30pm.

I'm sure all of the sell-out hype did scare many folks away and our webcast probably kept some folks home listening over the web.

I think the pre-sale at both schools also helped. Pendleton County only sold 187 of their alloted 200 pre-sale tickets and the closed-circuit big-screen venue set up in Hegenauer Hall drew one viewer - Brossart Booster President Tom Ware!

Sooo, all of the added security, staff, and institution of multiple gates etc administrated a large crowd, but NOT a sell-out. There were empty spaces on the PC far end and also behind the PCo bench.

 

The Mustangs have two potential large crowds when Mason County and CovCath comes to call, but the decision has already been made that those games will stay put in the SyDome.

 

While moving the PCo game to a larger venue would have certainly accommodated more fans, it would have been impossible to duplicate the electricity of the atmosphere of last night's game here on the Avenue of Champions. I'm sure that anyone in attendance will agree.
