Coach Reitz did have a stint at good ole Mt. Olivet Deming as head coach.

Frosh Coach Jon Wirth, I don't believe is a Beechwood grad but know he is a KCC (KCU now) grad. Unfortunately, the biggest defect of Coach Wirth is that he is a UNC fan.

 

The frosh coach from last year, I believe, was a Beechwood grad.

Even if Pendleton isnt considered Northern Kentucky then we will just say they are one of the top teams in the WHOLE state. I'm sure that would include Northern Kentucky wouldn't it?

Reitz originally signed a contract to coach the wildcats when Belcher, Verax, and O'hara were all freshman. He decided that PC wasnt good enough for him so he backed out on his contract after only a couple weeks and took over the Clark County job. So WHAT IF he had only stayed with the cats?

You're right--Funny how things work out sometimes. He's missing a heckova ride!!

Mike Reitz signed to coach the Wildcats prior to Guy Strong resigning at Clark County. I THINK he even had a meeting with the team (PCo) but when the Clark County job opened he jumped the PCo ship for Clark County (after 10 days I THINK).

 

After coaching at Clark he said it "didn't feel like home" and took the Campbell County job when Dan Sullivan quit/was fired/failed to be re-hired.

 

In retrospect he would have been better off staying with the Cats, as is Buddy has been a great fit for the Cats and could be elected mayor (or king) of Falmouth is he so chose.

His track record says that he could have. His success at Harrison County with championship caliber talent says that he could have.

 

Chemistry is a key ingredient in the makeup of a championship ball-team. Battleships (talent) are the main ingredient.

 

Buddy has maintained the superior chemistry, provided the tools that they needed to be successful, and then stays out of their way and allows them to play.

 

I think that Reitz would have achieved similar results as would any number of successful coaches were they given the chance with PCo.

 

The bottom-line is that Reitz looked at their past-performances and chose to bet on Clark County - and Buddy Biggs got the job and the last laugh.

Who is to say that Rietz could have done the same thing that Biggs has done in PC?

 

Who is to stay he couldn't have punched the right buttons against PRP and done more? We will never know.
