December 6, 201213 yr I'm glad I got to watch him score it. I love milestones. I'll also be the first to ruin the thread by saying Lebron will be the next to be the youngest to score 30,000.
December 6, 201213 yr Here we go....... IF and I mean IF Kobe passes MJ in points and gets 6 titles I'm stamping him > MJ. Boom. End of story. Closing the thread.

December 6, 201213 yr Author Here we go....... IF and I mean IF Kobe passes MJ in points and gets 6 titles I'm stamping him > MJ. Boom. End of story. Closing the thread. He WILL pass MJ. It's a matter of him getting first or not.
December 6, 201213 yr Author I figured it'd be easier coming from one of us. I'm just pretending that's not the case for now.
December 6, 201213 yr I'm just pretending that's not the case for now. I'm just going to enjoy it while I can. He's already ruined 10K, 15K and soon 20K. Just getting mentally prepared. We'll have 30K for a while.
December 6, 201213 yr As it has already been pointed out, this is probably going to be a moot point in a few years thank to LBJ, but it is somewhat difficult to compare stats like this from players in different eras. Kobe achieved this milestone about a year younger than Wilt, but Wilt did not begin his pro career until the age of 23. He played 4 years of NCAA and then a season with the Harlem Globetrotters. Kobe began his pro career at the age of 18, jumping straight from high school to the NBA.
December 6, 201213 yr I saw a tweet that said something like "Kobe hit the 30,000 point mark tonight and also it was the 10,000th time a teammate said 'I'm open' . "
December 6, 201213 yr Seen that en though he is the youngest to 30k it also took him the longest. I would be interesting in seeing the number of games it took the players to get there. But I'm also too lazy to look it up.
December 6, 201213 yr Seen that en though he is the youngest to 30k it also took him the longest. He didn't start scoring like a champ until his 3rd or 4th year so that's no surprise. I expect him to play long enough to at least finish at #2 on the list.
December 12, 201213 yr I would be interesting in seeing the number of games it took the players to get there. But I'm also too lazy to look it up. Or the number of attempts. One thing that would skew that would be 3 pointers.
December 12, 201213 yr Kobe did it at the youngest age, but it took him the most games and most shot attempts.
