That's not true. A few years ago we had one of the worst winters we've ever had in my life time. Summer that year was about 2 weeks long.

Pick your year it was not hott.

There is also evidence and belief that the earth has shifted on it's axis. Hence the northern hemisphere is getting warmer and the southern hemisphere is getting colder.

I see another cash grab coming!:ohbrother:

Axial shift change has occurred throughout Earth's history. However, this change occurs on an order of millions of years, not anything that would create noticeable changes in a hundred years.

Really? Millions? Do you work for the History Channel?

What was the temps for 1700-1799? Or 500-599? Or any other hundred year period? The earth is billions if years old. To use 10 or even 100 years as a basis of trends is foolish.

I don't think they started until late 1800s, BUT to say the evidence is foolish is even more Foolish. I don't think cavemen kept temp records, too worried about the local t-rex

A. there's no evidence that the earth is "billions" of years old.

B. there's sketchy evidence of the causation of the change in climate.

C. there's been climate change throughout the life of the earth.

IF nothing else, the planet has a fantastic way of adapting to change. Have we affected it? Well, only a buffoon would argue we have not. Could we do better? Absolutely. But I'm afraid that we'll get a knee jerk plan of action that will be more along the lines of political inclination and prosperity than actual effectual change. The only thing I'm certain of is that the Amish ain't responsible.

I'm guessing Al Gore in the second picture...

I have a picture of Al Gore with his head stuck someplace else, but I can't post it here.

Is it not arrogant to think that because it's here it must go everywhere?

We do have the "machine", don't we?

I hate when articles lead in with "Scientists say". First, who are the scientists and are they worth a crap? Are they reputable? Is the science repeatable and solid or is there alot of conjecture and speculation.

You ever wonder who in the hell the 9 out of 10 dentists surveyed are? I've never been asked. Never been surveyed. I belong to all of the organizations that the rest of the dentists belong to. You want to know why those 9 out of 10 no one knows? Because it's bull hockey. Just for kicks, lets's google "stupid claims made by scientists" over the years. It's hard to say what we will get. We could go back to the "earth was flat" crew and go from there with terrible claims throughout the ages. I hate when the media runs with catchy headlines to grab attention and then from a distance when you step back and analyze that statement, you realize it's a retarded notion. Question, does anyone on this board, or should I say would anyone on this board wager their homes that in 3 years+ that there will be no ice at the north pole?

In my best Chris Carter, COME ON MAN!

Here's a brilliant scientific claim. But he's a scientist, so he must be a good one. The reason this one didn't hit the headlines is that it was easy to see how dumb this claim was and the media didn't paste in on their homepage.

Top scientist claims black people 'stupid'

Yes, there is.

Where and what? How was it dated/aged?
