Star twins Aaron and Andrew Harrison combined for 46 points Friday night as national No. 2 Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, Texas) escaped with a 78-76 win over Ballard (Louisville) at the annual Marshall County Hoopfest in Benton, Ky.

The event is held at Marshall County High School's Reed Conder Gymnasium, a storied venue with a seating capacity of over 6,000.

Aaron led Travis with 28 points against Ballard on a night that featured several nationally-ranked teams and high-profile players:

* Top-ranked 2013 prospect Andrew Wiggins finished with 29 points as Huntington Prep (W.Va.) – ranked No. 1 in MaxPreps.com's Academy Top 10 – rolled to a 76-59 win over Memphis East (Tenn.).

* Academy Top 10 No. 4 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) stormed past Curie (Chicago) 72-39 despite the best efforts of 6-9 junior sensation Cliff Alexander, who put up 26 points.

Travis returns to action Saturday at the Hoopfest against Madison Central (Richmond, Ky.). Oak Hill meets No. 9 Southwind (Memphis, Tenn.) and Wiggins and Huntington Prep face Briarcrest Christian (Eads, Tenn.).

Did you post the article two times because they are twins ?:D

lol.gif I never noticed the double post. Seems fitting though.......

I'm out of town this weekend. Anyone have a box score with the lines for Ballard's players as well? Seems like a great game, surely Ballard's guys must have done something...

I believe Snyder finished with 28 pts, 6 rbs, 6 ast and absolutely put on a show against the twins after being held in check early. Things also got a little chippy between him and Andrew and the two had to be separated at one point.

Kelan Martin had 19 and 13 and I believe Holland had 18 and 6.

Great game to start the weekend of games.

I watched this game on iHigh. If you haven't seen Quentin Snider play you must go see him. He more than held his own against the twins. IMO he is the best player in the state. Some ill timed turnovers cost Ballard a chance to tie the game late. I also wish Snider had taken it upon himself to tie or win the game the last possession. To Richmond's credit they played great defense on that last play by not allowing Ballard to get a shot off and making sure Snider didn't beat them.

I am very intrigued to see how Ballard does this year. Very nice squad.

Sounds like Ballard represented the state very well. The Bruins are going to be tough to handle this season.

Aaron Harrison's ability to hit long 3s off the pull-up is impressive.

Ballard's Lavon Holland is going to be problem for most teams.
