So is he eligible or not? I watched them since this thread was started and he was in street clothes. Anyone know?

I asked around today as soon as I get the word I will pass it along. I did hear that he would be ready by the Republic Bank Classic at Lexington Catholic next week but that's just hearsay

Here is what I'm being told by someone that talked with Randy Napier yesterday, after KHSAA ruled Johnson ineligible, a officer overturned the rule and ruled Johnson eligible and gave the KHSAA until December 26 (Tomorrow) 4 PM to sign off on it, if KHSAA doesn't sign off on it, Perry County Central is gonna file an injunction but most of the time when an officer overturns something KHSAA goes along with it and if this stands then Johnson should be able to play in the Republic Bank Classic at Lexington Catholic this week. Got this info last night

Keep in mind, the KHSAA is who made the rules. Bottom line, there are too many easy loopholes which allow too many grey areas. It needs to be black and white. You either are eligible immediately or have to sit out a year, no matter the reason you transferred. It becomes cut and dry and no issues arise that way. Obviously the only issue is deciding which way to go and I am personally fine with either as long as its black and white.

I agree with this but this is what I was told.

Was just told that it was official, Justin Johnson has been ruled eligible and he will play tomorrow.

KHSAA sure took the decision right up to the last second.

The athletic association tries to make a peace offering to the schools/admins who protested the transfer by delaying as long as they can. Sort of pitiful.
