You can say that again. (I honestly don't see why Brossart can hold the All A Classic but Augusta can't. The Panthers Den is just as big.) Should be a great atmosphere for the PC game, maybe home court will help Brossart finish this time unlike the MCIT meeting.

Here's the deal.

 

Due to the sizable interest and anticipated sell-out with Brossart having to honor season passes etc a decision was made and approved on Wednesday morning that the game would be moved to TMC.

 

The approval came from the TMC Athletic department who could not get approval from the administration due to the fact that they have a full slate of night classes scheduled and that security was unavailable.

 

Soooooo, we are back to square one - playing the game at the friendly confines of the Thomas H. Seither Sportscenter.

 

I understand that there is some form of a pre-sale being offered to the Pendleton County folks.

 

Doors will open at 5pm and closed circuit TV and the broadcast piped into Hegenauer upstairs.

 

We investigated playing the game at the Middle School, NKU, and even Campbell County High School and even moving the game to Friday night but the Cats are playing Bracken County.

 

If you can't attend listen to the live broadcast of the game over the internet via the http://www.bmustangs.com website.

I think they should move it to the St. Mary's Saints "Barn"! This way Elrod won't be able to shoot any three's. He would have the rafters hanging down too far!

The presell tickets give you a spot in the gym or are they still doing the close circuit deal?

 

Edited: Just saw they are still piping it in...so even pre-sold tickets need to get their early.

Might as well listen to the broadcast at home then watch that closed circuit t.v. Someone should of had the foresight to move this, until waiting until the night before the game.

I just calculated that if they would charge $ 163.04 per ticket they could play in the Barn and have the same gate.

This whole thing was poorly handled by Bishop Brossart. Of course looking into a different place to play 2 days before it is supposed to be played would cause a problem. This whole thing has come out exactly as Bishop Brossart wanted. I feel sorry for the Pendleton County people not being able to attend the game. Bishop Brossart doesn't get to play in many games like this and should have known weeks ago the interest in this game and addressed at that time. Poorly handled but predictable. I love how they made it look like they attempted to get it moved. Gee, way to look into it a couple days before the actual event. Hope all 78 people in the gym enjoy it. What a joke!

Brossart wanted to do the same with the CLass A Region again this year. The last time they had the region they had to turn people away. Even players that were to receive all tournament awards were turned away. Instead of being cooperative in this issue they had to have their arm twisted to move the semi-final and final to Campbell Co. Middle School next week for the boys. If this is the case then they should let Augusta and St. Pat decide where they want to have it when the rotation comes to them.

I feel sorry for all the fans that will miss a classic on Friday because of poor preparation.

I don't blame Brossart Home Court advantage. I'm sure alot of people in the 35th are ticked about the districts at Holy Cross.

I highly disagree. They have recently (past few years) been playing tough competition all over the state, and have you ever been to a Crosstown Shootout? They have 6 home games all year, originally intended to keep this one. Do you fault a school for wanting some kids to get a chance to play on their homecourt. They tried to move it to various venues and change the date, but it wasn't possible. Why didn't Pendleton try to move their Homecoming game against CCHS since it was so crowded? Why didn't they move the district game between the two schools last year since people got shut out? It is not a joke, and don't try to make people out to be the bad guy, because a team is playing on their home court in their scheduled home game.

I am a big cat fan, but totally understand that this is a true home court advantage and a needed home game for BB, if the cats want to repeat as region champs this will be a great opprotunity to shine in a hostile enviroment. Hopefully we'll be able to get in tomorrow and GO CATS

Guess BBHS is a victim of their own success?? Probably a few schools out there that would like to be able to generate enough interest to have this kind of problem!! I think Brossart has done an admirable job of moving several of their "home games" to CC Middle to help accomodate the larger crowds as their program has grown in stature!! At least the Frosh and JV will get to play in front of unprecedented crowds!! Congrats to the 'Stangs on the success of their program!! :thumb:

Brossart knew weeks ago and checked out the Middle School for availability. When the Middle School wasn't available we stuck with Plan A.

 

If this was simply a coup to keep the PCo fans out, I don't know why I'm on the verge of bleeding ulcers over it.

 

It's easy to sit back and take shots - reminds me of an old Schabellism:
