Guess BBHS is a victim of their own success?? Probably a few schools out there that would like to be able to generate enough interest to have this kind of problem!! I think Brossart has done an admirable job of moving several of their "home games" to CC Middle to help accomodate the larger crowds as their program has grown in stature!! At least the Frosh and JV will get to play in front of unprecedented crowds!! Congrats to the 'Stangs on the success of their program!! :thumb:

Please. Quit flattering yourself. Any school with or without success that has a gym that holds 10 people pretty much knows in advance what kind of crowd they are going to have in advance. As soon as this game was scheduled plans should have been made to find an alternative site or date. This is not a knock on BB's gym because it can handle 99% of their crowds. But for the 2 or so games a year where more than 10 people might want to attend, PLAN AHEAD. TMC would have been able to help you out but you gave them no advance notice. POOR PLANNING!! HOW CONVENIENT!!Mister Mustang, put up next years schedule on here and we can help you know which games might get a crowd so you can start working now. Many schools have even moved days around to accomadate the needs. Nice try on the spin though. Everyone knew it was coming. Try Pepto on those ulcers. Predictable and sad. :fight:

 

Give it a rest, It is there home game and if they want to play at home so be it. No one should have to move a game just because there isn't enough room for the opponents fans. We all know that if PC'S gym couldn't hold everyone, the game would still be at PC. This is the way life is sometimes.

You are right PC would not move it either. BB has the right to play on there floor. Fans should just suck it up and go on. At least we have an option. We can listen to Mustang.

Just pointing out the facts, man!! Would the Mustangs like to have a new gym?? Sure!! Unfortunately they can't just raise taxes and build one, so we'll have to live with what we've got for now. I'd say Brossart moves more home games than anyone else in NKY to try to accommodate the overflow fans. Sometimes just doesn't work out. As Sharp points out at least BBHS has an alternative (webcast), does your team??

I highly disagree. They have recently (past few years) been playing tough competition all over the state, and have you ever been to a Crosstown Shootout? They have 6 home games all year, originally intended to keep this one. Do you fault a school for wanting some kids to get a chance to play on their homecourt. They tried to move it to various venues and change the date, but it wasn't possible. Why didn't Pendleton try to move their Homecoming game against CCHS since it was so crowded? Why didn't they move the district game between the two schools last year since people got shut out? It is not a joke, and don't try to make people out to be the bad guy, because a team is playing on their home court in their scheduled home game.

 

Pendleton Co. did not host the district last year and it was not up to them. It was at Bracken.

I'd settle for some heat being turned on in the present gym. Went to a volleyball touney there one Saturday morning and had to go outside because it was warmer. You know like 45 degrees versus the 38 inside.

Game will be played at Bishop Brossart. TMC turned down the opportunity to host the game. Campbell County was contacted weeks/months ago and both buildings are being used. AD Webster has used his resources to try and move the game but that has failed.

 

As a result, game is AT Bishop Brossart.

If I'm BB, I NEVER would have considered moving the game. Let BB players play on their homecourt. Its an obvious advantage and why negate it? Just so some more fans can get in? Too bad. Fill the place up with those that get their early and let the rest listen on the web. There is no obligation on BB's part to change the location.

Very well stated, similar to my post earlier. Homecourt is an advantage and BB has only 6-7 home games this year. Mustangs should take full advantage and not worry about a few unhappy cat fans. Its not like they were very accomidating (or did they welcome us) down at PC. The only way I would ever schedule their home games somewhere else would be if all BB/PC games were on nuetrual courts. PC can play them at there place, but if its at BB they want a bigger facility. If PC wants to throw some money to BB, they would be happy I am sure to build a bigger facility. Five years ago BB could accomadate the 15 fans that followed PC.

Pendleton has ALWAYS traveled well, no matter the record. One of the main reasons, the 10th region loves to see Pendleton in the regional tournament.

 

A few years back, the Pendleton fans closed the Brossart gym for a Pendleton/Brossart girls game.

It would be very hard for me to say any 10th region team will ever blow out Brossart. I expect Pendleton to win but to say they will blow them out like they did a few weeks back, doesn't give Brossart the respect they deserve.

I was looking forward to the game at TMC. These two teams have more wins combined this year than Thomas More has in the past five years. It would have been the best and most fundamental game that court has seen in years.

Do you think all the fans that won't get in will only be cat fans?I think some BB fans probably won't get in either.I give them credit they tried and couldn't get it done.The AD at PC told me that they could play at Holmes if BB wanted to but I don't blame them for not going there.TMC would have been nice though for the kids and fans from all over Northern Ky.
