Your spot on. Kelly has done that in the past. I think it might have been the game last year vs USC where all of sudden he was a passing machine, when the running game had worked well up to that point.

ND can't play not to lose. The good news is this team has faced adversity all year. If they get down early I'm not going to be freaking out. Golson seems to play very well on the road as well. Says he likes when people are against him.

It wasn't the USC game last year.

Trojans held the Irish to 41 yards rushing for the game.

USC Trojans vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish - Recap - October 22, 2011 - ESPN

Lamar Dawson had only 6 tackles last week while splitting time at LB. He's been off and on in the injury department and I would surely love to see him gave a great game with the nation watching on Saturday. :thumb:

How about this for irony.

The UCLA LB that hit Barkley is the son of former ND RB Tony Brooks.

I think ND should have to play in a conference to get in the BCS championship game.

Why? I could understand if they played a bad schedule, however they played a tough schedule than most teams play who do play in BCS conferences.

Hopefully Notre Dame goes in with the Oklahoma recipe for success. Run the ball and play defense. Now Kelly loves to throw the ball around the field, and Golson had some moments last week to make you think he could be great at chucking it 35 times, but that is not what got them to where they are this week. Keep it conservative and try to keep the Trojans off balance. The play makers USC has at WR do scare me.

I said this before, and this goes for pretty much any team, when they can run the ball and hit you in the mouth with their front 3/4 it is going to be a long day for the opponent.

ND has Louis Nix, Stephon Tuitt, and "Superfan" look out!

Here come the Irish!!

USC has underperformed this year under Kiffin. I don't think he can coax the effort out of his team to win. The Irish have a lot of good karma going for them this season. ND roughs them up and wins.

This game scares me some for Notre Dame. I felt more confident about Notre Dame's chances before Barkley got hurt. USC has a lot of talent on the team, they just haven't play up to their talent level. They have great receivers on offense too, and now a QB that no one has really seen but has a huge arm. So that scares me a little bit for Notre Dame.

I'm with you. The unknown is harder to prepare for.
