Couples Swept Away in Negril.

Great resort you will love it. Next to Hedo as well so make sure you rent a kayak and explore one day. Lol

Grab a 15 min flight there on a cropduster. It's a blast, kinda freaky to get in a 4 seater and land on a dirt landing strip but much faster and adventurous.

How much does it cost?

Should we arrange something beforehand or can we just hop on one, pay some cash & go?

When you land in Montego Bay they will offer it there in the airport. Its pretty cool but my wife didnt care for the pilot's humor. It was a young guy that looked in his early 20's and as we were walking out to the plane my wife asked how long he had been flying. He turned around, smiled and said it was his 2nd flight. Her jaw dropped and I got a lump in my throat. He laughed and said he had been flying for 4 years.

It has been 8 yrs so I cant tell you what it is like now just that it was offered then. A shuttle ride to Negril isnt that bad really, I think they have improved the roads down there since we were there as well. I know it was a bumpy van ride from Negril to Ocho's Rios when we did a day trip but they were building a highway at that time so I would image it has been completed.

Have fun !!!

If I had to do all again I would have taken the flight. The 3 hour cab ride through all of the villages with dead animals on the side of the road were not very appealing. I also wasn't too happy with the cab driver passing other structures on 4 wheels on blind curves. It would of been safer to walk!! Maybe.... Would love to go back though!!! Loved it.:thumb: I think our resort we stayed at is called something else now. It was Ciboney(SP) when we went.

Has anyone used a travel agent that you would recommend for trips to Jamaica?

Marco Polo Travel in Florence. Lady named Connie helped us.

I would recommend Marco Polo Travel as well. We worked with the owner - Sharon

The Murgler doesn't own it any more?

A great way to see Jamaica is via cruise ship. We just completed a Carnival cruise before Christmas out of New Orleans with stops in Montego Bay (Jamaica), Grand Cayman, and Cozumel (Mexico). In Jamaica, we did a 4x4 excursion around the city that was a lot of fun! Rum punch included!

I have booked all sorts of ways...through the resort's website, through an agent and through Priceline. I recommend shopping around all different ways because they often have deals and/or packages if you time it right.
