November 12, 201213 yr I am not sure about this being good news. It might be good for this season but it might cost them Dwight Howard at the end of the year. D'Antoni's offense is not good for a low post player like Howard.

Most of his assistants stayed with him for the most part. Wanting Phil wasn't about bringing the triangle back it was about having Phil back. The triangle isn't really a great fit for Howard and Nash.

Maybe I'm naive because I dont' watch the NBA like I did when I was 13, but do NBA coaches really have many disciples? That seems more like a college coach thing.

His health was still a concern so te Lakers really need Ed to move on from him to focus on the future. With D'antoni they are doing that.
