Both teams are playing strong. Boyle has been on steady upward path since the loss to Catholic in the regular season. Catholic looked loose and was hitting on all the cylinders against Knox Central last night.

 

The regular season game was very odd. Boyle the first half and Catholic the second half. Catholic came from behind and pulled it out without QB Kyle Bolin on offense or leading tackler LB Josh Mesmer on defense or outstanding freshman Sam Letton in the second half.

 

Reece Ryan is about where he should be with 5 games under his belt since that game and has developed a feel for when to tuck the ball and run when he has to. Something that Bolin did that keeps defenses guessing.

 

 

Gut feeling is this one is decided in 4th quarter - again - favoring the Knights by a TD.

What is the series record between these two teams?

Boyle actually scores touchdowns on their long drives this time instead of missed field goals. It's wild to think how much this is a game of inches when you think of the last two Boyle/LexCath games. I'm looking forward to this game. I'll take Boyle by a touchdown.

Boyle prevails this time. In a close one I will take the Rebels 21-17.

Two teams that know each other very well. I expect another hard fought game that goes down to the wire. No one would have ever thought last years game would end at 10-7. I expect the same this Friday, as both teams are playing good D. Rebels 17-16.
