November 3, 201213 yr Let's see how well BGP posters measure up to the professionals. Predict the winner of each swing state: Colorado Florida Iowa Nevada New Hampshire North Carolina Pennsylvania Ohio Virginia Wisconsin Tie Breaker: Who wins & Electoral vote total _______________________________________________ Flotsam the Greek says Obama wins Colorado, Iowa, Nevada, New Hamshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia & Wisconsin. Romney wins Florida and North Carolina. Winner - Obama 295 Electoral Votes.
November 3, 201213 yr Pennsylvania stays blue - barely. Iowa - they are odd birds - keep them blue. New Hampster - OK, blue. Nevada - it should go red but will keep it blue for now. With Harry Reid and 20% unemployment - how can they go blue? And see where Obama has been going lately! Its at least in play. Rest break easily to the red column. Ohio - normally a heavily Republican state anyway. NC - was there this summer. Outside of Chapel Hill and Charlotte its deep red. Romney. Virginia - outside of beltway burbs this will go heavily red. Florida - Romney. Favored son Rubio will delivery the Latino vote. Colorado - Red this time. Seems in the bag. Wisconsin - Since 2008 this state has gone on Red Rage (for all you UL fans!). 2010 mid-terms were heavily red, the recall went against the Dems and unions. The VP is from there and they are loyal up there. This one may look like a shocker. But not really. Romney: over 300 electoral votes.
November 3, 201213 yr Colorado - Romney barely Florida - Romney by 2-3% Iowa - Obama - by 1% Nevada - Obama - by 2.5% New Hampshire - Obama - by 1% North Carolina - Romney by 6% Pennsylvania - Obama by 2% Ohio - Obama by 1 vote Virginia - Romney by 1.5% Wisconsin - Obama by 2% Popular - Romney by 2% Electoral - Obama 281 Romney 257

November 5, 201213 yr Popular Vote- Obama wins by 2.5%. Electoral College- Obama 294-Romney 244 Obama wins Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Nevada, & New Hampshire Romney wins Florida, Colorado, & North Carolina These numbers have essentially been my feeling all along--a similar breakdown to 2004 in both popular & electoral. I feel very confident in each state I picked, with the exception of two: Virginia & Colorado.
November 5, 201213 yr Iowa - Romney Michigan - Obama Wisconsin - Obama Pennsylvania - Obama Virginia - Romney Ohio - Obama Nevada - Obama New Hampshire - Obama Florida - Romney Colorado - Romney North Carolina - Romney Obama - 275 Romney - 263 Romney wins the popular vote by 1.75%
November 5, 201213 yr ^ Your prediction highlights something I'm anticipating. I feel like the Electoral college is pretty well in the President's favor. I'm curious to see how the popular vote breaks down & if we indeed see Romney win it but lose the Presidency. I don't think it will happen, but it will be an interesting thing to watch. For the country's sake, I hope whomever wins the Presidency wins both the popular & electoral vote.
November 5, 201213 yr Obama: Nevada Colorado Iowa Wisconsin Ohio Virginia New Hampshire Pennsylvania Romney: Florida North Carolina Obama gets 303 electoral votes.
November 5, 201213 yr Obama: Nevada Colorado Iowa Wisconsin Ohio Virginia New Hampshire Pennsylvania Romney: Florida North Carolina Obama gets 303 electoral votes. I almost went this route as well. If this is how it ends up, I'm really going to hate you.

November 5, 201213 yr No doubt. It'll be Bush/Gore 2000 all over again on Facebook. Yep. It's a tough situation...on the one hand, the country doesn't need to relive that whole scenario again. On the other hand, I would be thoroughly entertained.
