A little. At 14 he many not be growing. He has huge hands and can catch almost anything in his reach using 1 or both hands. 1 on 1 in the end zone is tough order for any DB covering him.

 

Here was long catch from last years team Kentucky 8th grade game against Kansas City.

 

The key play was the interception return by the Purples. Knights had a good drive going but an intereception returned for a TD took the game from a possible tie to a 2 TD spread. This was Reece Ryans first serious test since taking for injured Kyle Bolin. He was hampered by lots of penalties by the offensive line. Personal fouls, holds, false starts. Very sloppy play. And, in general, LexCath offense has yet to find its stride this year.

 

Defensively, Anthony Kersey set the tone with the interception on the first play from scrimmage. Michael Vogalsang was also in a lot of tackles.

 

Caleb Stice got some superb blocking on that runback of the interception. That's the thing about the Purple defense...if you turn the ball over, watch out. Sometimes it turns into instant offense.

 

The Purples faced some adversity in the game other than that first interception. But the way they responded is making me very confident of a long playoff run. LexCath can really make you fold under situations like that, but the Purples were very resilient and opportunistic. I was really proud of the guys last night!

The answer is yes!! They've won 25 in a row, one short of the school record (twice).

Major appreciation for Bowling Green. 2nd favorite team in high school next to my sons team. Doing it without the advantages of private a school. And beating them head to head.

It felt like 8. Catholic never adjusted to the rushers coming in off the edge all night. Ryan had to run for his life on almost every play. This what happens when you do not adjust to the game situation and do not use running backs to help with blocking.
