Well they both are bigger than Peavler. And pretty close to Sims size. Sims plays safety/ wr Peavler plays cb/wr. They're same size than Bradshaw who plays LB/ some rb. Both are better backs then Bradshaw. Taking nothing away from Bradshaw he has done a great job running. Yes they'll be better next yr, but could contribute this season. Special teams,wr,rb to give Johnson a blow,or defensive back. And the third would be Jerrad if his heads right. He will play some varsity def next season. And the other two you could argue are D smith and stansfield. As db's or special teams. Not saying impact players but contribute. And would keep some legs fresh. That would be their role this yr and next. IMO

much emphasis on middle school results. This happens almost every year at Boyle, where the middle school is not impressive as

some of the area schools, but once these kids get in the high school program it becomes a different story. Even with the loss of many

good seniors Boyle will be very good next year. Other fans don't see these other kids in practice every day to really know that as

That's good to hear. I honestly had no clue what to expect from Boyle going forward. I know about Josiah, Aidan and Seph. There are so many seniors and my kid graduated from Boyle in 2012 so I know very little of the personnel after this season. I work in Mercer County and I have coached in the Mercer County youth sports leagues at different times and a lot of those kids I have coached or their parents I have worked with are in high school or almost there in Mercer so I know more about Mercer's future than Boyle. Hopefully my youngest will be transferring to Boyle middle school next year so I'll know more about Boyle going forward once he gets there. That's good to hear about Boyle because I had no clue.

Boyle has, over the past 20 years, done better than just about anyone in the state at developing players... They have turned an awful lot of Jimmies into Joes. So, I think the MS argument holds less sway with Boyle... I will say that, from what I have seen and heard, this current MS team is weakest in a long time. However, last season's team was pretty good. Boyle will be fine if they have a down 8th grade class every couple of years, but if those start to string together, it could be problematic.

 

FWIW, I don't know much about the other coaches, but Chuck Miller joining Chris Pardue at Mercer is a huge addition... He was the backbone of the Boyle Strenght & Conditioning program at their zenith.

Please. That rumor is dead. Chuck Smith needs to be fired first and if that does happen I figure he'll go coach with his son instead of coaching as Pardue's assistant.

Mercer fans are normally a bit dilusional and right now this tide is turning talk is just that. Until Mercer beats Boyle at least once in any kind of High School sport it is just talk. One is called title town the other is called Harrodsburg.

That's the same freshman team that routed LexCath also. I was always told this year's freshman class was a good class. And Josiah isn't playing freshman ball either.

They should be glad all of Mercer's freshman are playing varsity then. Congrats on the freshman title that should have a * next to it. I can't wait until next year.
