The 1st TD for CovCath was the second TD pass of the night that B. Bir threw. At the 6:25 mark B. Bir threw a 51 yard TD pass to Braun but that play was called back via a penalty of illegal shift. Then on the next play at the 6:16 mark B. Bir threw a 57 yard TD pass to Egbers to break the record.

Is there a JV game? That will be ugly.

Thank you, and I just wish like my friend eyeofthetiger does for Beechwood, more would post this type of summary as it gives you a better feeling of the game.

As I found out to my surprise tonight, they do and if memories serves me correctly they are playing HC on Saturday of this week!

Hmmm. Interesting. They did not play a JV game versus Beechwood. That sounds like they are perhaps playing versus the other small schools who I believe do a freshman/sophomore combination instead of having a freshman team and a JV.

Next week should be another easy week for CovCath!

Holmes doesn't have a freshman team from what I heard. Instead, they play a jv schedule similar to what you posted above with the freshman/sophomore combination...

Holmes has had a good year sitting at 5-4, with wins over New. Cath and Beechwood who are having down years, but still nice wins for the program. A win next week against the Indians and you could say for what was expected and what they were able to do... not a bad year being 6-4 and finishing third in the district with everyone past two weeks saying Holmes " played it closer than expected".

As my scoring summary post stated, Bir (2011) tied Bleser (2006) record when he threw 28 TD passes last year and broke his and Josh record this season with 29 (now 31 as he threw a total of 3 vs Holmes) TD passes.
