The CC program is still a work in progress. They are building on the success of last year and have put together a nice stretch this year. However, for a large county school, they still have a lot of development to do before they start threatening for a spot in the finals.

Lol. Yeah, why don't you give credit where credit is due. Thanks mister Durham. This is the problem with Kentucky high school football. You celebrate a team for being 3-7 and district champs. Where I come from, that's a crap year. Kentucky needs to go back to an 11 game season and top two teams in the district make the playoffs.

Congrats on a nice win Camels and back to back District Champs. O-line was very impressive. #18 is making clear that he is not only a runner but turning into a passer as well. Looking forward to next week.

They can celebrate for one more day then it is Beat Rebels come Monday. There is already some motivation for this team after what their JV said last year after their post game huddle and Coach Lickert did not let the boys forget it.

 

Coach Lickert brought that up in his post game speech last night...won't post what he said on here but let's just say the coach and players are both fired up and ready to go.

I understand what you are saying because Durham is fantastic. Coach deserves credit too.

 

The 2 pt conversion call to beat Sk....a reverse half back pass just before the half last night to give CC a 24-7 lead heading in to the locker room...yea the Coach does deserve credit. Obviously the players make plays but Coach Lickert's play calling has put them in a position to win games.

 

I don't like to be bash coaches, but I'll take Coach L's play calling last night over the opposition...........

Years you are opposite from Trinity and St. X in the bracket anyone can make the finals. The playing field levels quite quickly after those two. After the KHSAA decide to rotate the districts in the playoffs, Ryle went to the finals and SK went to the finals. I am not sure of this year's bracket but after Trinity, St. X, and maybe Scott County no one is very scary. And the Scott County / Campbell County match is one I'd love to see.

There wasn't a PLAYER of the game last night...the entire CC offense was the MVP last night. Every player has accepted their roles and it is showing on the field. :thumb:

Yes to say this team is fired up is an understatement. I remember well the majority of the varsity team was there last year when the comment was made and the smarting off of some of the Boone kids to the CCHS coaching staff. Yes, not appropriate to say the comment that was said on here.

Ryle went to the finals?

Yes, in 2006. I think it was 42 - 7 Trinity.

The JV team at Ryle just beat Campbell County. The play calling on the Ryle JV team is a heck of alot better then the play calling at the varisty level. It has to be two different coaches. After the first half Ryle went back to their old ways of the non-effective run and no pass. I saw more passes this morning by the Ryle JV team than I have seen all year at the varsity level. There are several players on the JV that can help the varsity team, why not move them up? The play calling is stagnate on the varisty team...no pass and hand off left and hand off right.

Camels will be ready for Boone, and hopefully they will get their starting safety back by the time the playoffs start.
