It was a special "team win"

Shooter,

Unfortunately, I missed both this game and the Ashland game. Two nice wins for the Devils. Do you feel like they are beginning to come together as a team. Do you think this team can be the team everyone expected at the beginning of the season?

Which brings up an interesting point. I'm assuming you are speaking about back in junior high when that trio with some others did so well. How have our three developed compared to the guys they played against 3 or 4 years ago?

Jon Vanhoose is a very good player with a big upside. I've seen him play quite a few times now and he impresses me everytime. He can flat out shoot. Austin Blair also has game for the Red Devils. This is a big win for Russell. If they keep playing like this, they'll be a team to watch for, in the 16th, come March.

Let me clear this up for you. The N. KY Royals have played only one time against those three players in AAU basketball around 3 years ago and lost by 2 points.

I know it can be frustrating to wait on, but Russell is right on Dodd's timetable, Dodd is in no rush to play well early, and its really not his fault

with the way those little football players keep playing football ;)

add to that the injury this year, and simpson and lavender playing soccer and seldom picking up a basketball in between, it is hard for Russell to show what kind of team they are until after January. Austing Blair is a big factor they are still waiting on and they beat a good team today with limited production from him, but Lavender played his best game yet and eliminated all the silly hack fouls, Simpson was clutch off the bench, and all of as sudden, Kasey "dagger" clark is a 3 point threat, (and that will break a lot of hearts) and Gill took a charge, plus is getting close to a double/double every game. I know I may catch some flack for this one, but what the hey- I'm going out on a limb and saying there is a very, very, very, good chance Russell will win the rest of the games on the schedule, but hey everyone needs something for their bulletin board! :D

hmmm, there must be more Northern Kentucky Royals teams, I can remember playing them in the eastern Kentucky stars tournament, a campbell county tournament, and I believe an Augusta tournament, and at the kba, but maybe that was just someone who looked like them, we do both remember the same result though :D

hey, if I'm getting a little obnoxious with this, I apologize, there was some early pre-game trash predictions I was responding too, and it was a good game/win

Good to hear Lavender played well. I have said from the beginning that him and Gill could determine how good this team can be. They must step up.

Did any of these kids play on the Northern Kentucky Flyers?

Is VanHoose a junior?

LOW MY LAST POST HIGH

:D

I believe it was the brilliant Nothingbutnet who so eloquently stated that the Red Devils had "NO chance". Appears he was nothing but air on that one now doesn't it. Congrats to Russell. Looks like the entire 16th is doing well today against the center of our state. :thumb:

My bad spindoc, GoRedDevils, russellrooter and shooterx3! I thought that Russell was playing Scott Co. when I said they had NO chance! But with that said, I would have still thought that Scott would have beat Russell, but I wouldn't have said NO chance! Scott High is very solid and Russell done well in beating them!

Congrats to the Devils on a good win against a very good team! By the way, I was for Russell, but no way anyone from the 16th would beat Scott Co.

Nothingbutnet, thanks for the clarification. I would agree that Russell would have "almost" no chance against Scott Co, although I would still holdhout the smallest of hopes for the upset. If the stars were lined up properly, you never know.......
