Sounds like a nice pair of wins against Ashland and now Scott. Seems like Russell is gettin better as the season goes on.

We are talking about Scott H. S. and not Scott Co. aren't we. I would have thought at least in the pre-season Russell was expected to win this game. Still a good win.

Russell has got Scott next and they are gonna have to bring somethn that Scott isn't prepared for or they have no chance next game.

Russell did bring something special, Lavender did a great job defending the post against Howard, Gill had a great first half, Jared Simpson hit 4 straight free throws down the stretch to earn the nickname "crunch", and Van Hoose

after missing his first five shots of the game, did not miss a shot in the second half except for one free throw, ending up with 27

It was a special "team win"

your right about everything but howard. Howard carried scott and was the reason it was close 19 poiints 10 plus rebounds, is not stoppin someone. I agree with everything else though.

Howard is a good player, but I believe he only had 7 points in the second half, and I think 4 of those were free throws. Seems like everytime Russell took Lavender out, he scored or got fouled. Lavender was the only one who could defend him for Russell today. Lavender not getting in foul trouble and being able to hang with Howard was a big key to Russell winning, I would rate

Scott as the fourth best team Russell has played this year, behind Fern Creek , Bryan Station, and Paul Dunbar, which is pretty good company

This thread is about Scott vs. Russell.

As a "rookie" to this site, I was surprised to see how little someone can know, how loud they can be, and how wrong they can be. Nothingbutnet and play-2-win left no doubt that Russell didn't have a chance against Scott yet they won rather easily. While their bold predictions might be an expression of confidence in their own team, it is ignorance of the other team's capabilities. WTG Russell.

 

 

Well let me give you two more examples of ignorance. First my ignorance, I thought in speaking of Scott, Russell was playing Scott County (arguably the best team in the State). and second, your ignorance. I'm from Russell.
