The Walking Dead (Season 3...Possible Spoilers)

What about Tyreese's group?

They seem somewhat sensible. I see them joining Rick's group and then helping them take down the Govenor's cult.

Gives us more characters that can be casualties so our favorites don't go down.

Carl's character is becoming more likable, similar to the comic book character. Except Carl won't be happy when Herschel's younger daughter starts to have eyes for the teenage boy who joined the group.

It looked like from the preview for Feb 10th (too darn far away.) that Daryl has rejoined group. But no Merle? Maybe some friction in the group as well.

Why does the woman scream every time they see walkers. She was screaming in the woods and than again in the prison before Carl found them. You would think she had seen walkers before?

Merle is taken to the prison group as well.

I think the Governor now has the motivation to become the evil character we have been expecting him to be. He might be out of control when the show returns.

On Talking Dead last night, Kirkman pretty much said this exact thing. Said they wanted him to be a character where they "peel the layers." The killing of Penny takes the last ounce of humanity that The Governor possesses. So you're right that PG-13 Governor has gone bye bye.

By the way, Talking Dead will be a one-hour show once the season commences on February 10th. And it will immediately follow the new episode each night.

So the preview showed Merle & Daryl with the group? How did I miss this?

Preview for the next episode that was shown on Talking Dead had the guy in Tyreese's group--the one whose wife was killed--urging the others to attack "the boy and the woman" (talking about Carl & Carol). Tyreese essentially says, "These are good people. Why would we attack them? This is the safest place we've been in weeks."

I'll be absolutely shocked if Merle, Daryl, & Tyreese all make it out of Season 3 alive.

It didn't, but one preview showed Rick and Michonne on the way back to the prison and Glenn comes running to them to help, stops and says "what's he doing here". I'm assuming he's talking about Merle.

Can't wait to learn more about the Tyreese character, really just to compare to the comics. haha

I was thinking about him last night & how he compares to Rick's other right-hand guys.

Rick & Shane were as tight as anyone could be. Then it all went to pot, with Shane eventually rebelling against all things Rick.

Rick & Daryl started out very much at odds because of what happened with Merle. Now, Daryl is pro all things Rick.

Rick & Tyreese, in the comics at least, have their disagreements/altercations in private but Tyreese is solidly behind him in public. He seems to be the middle ground between Shane & Daryl. I think they'll probably bring that to life in the television show.

Kinda wish that Rick and Michonne were a little more together than standoffish. I know they kinda just met but he's kinda a jerk about the whole thing IMO. I'm sure this is kinda the turning point. But she also needs to open up a bit and just say what's going on. The whole still being secret is dumb.

On Talking Dead last night, Kirkman said there was a line they took out--just one word actually. Michonne says to the group (and more so to Rick), "You need me." The line/word they took out was when she follows it up with, "Please." She said they needed her, but she basically acknowledges that she needs them more. I think we'll see the relationship between the two of them cool down some.
