How can you call it a solid performance against Bowling Green when they were losing 21-7 after the 1st quarter and the game was called due to thunderstorms?

Actually it was 14-7 at the end of the 1st and that was after BG scored at the end of the 1st on their 3rd untimed down. they then returned a punt for a TD in the 2nd to make it 21-7. The game could have easily been in Henderson's favor. Who knows how the game would have ended up but when it was called Henderson was driving and was in BG territory. BG's D was not doing much to stop Henderson's O.

In 2011, BG was only ahead of Henderson 20-7 at the half and the Henderson offense had similar success in the first half. That game ended up 55-7. Henderson is probably a top 10 team offensively when they don't turn it over. But their defense and special teams are not top 10 calibar.
In 2011 CC beat the snot out of Henderson. To compare the two years is just dumb.
Does beating 1A 1nd 2A schools move you up in 6A? SK has a nice team, but don't believe they would beat CCH, Conner, or Cooper that gave Campbell County their 3 loses.
What some people are asking. Is that the people who vote on the top 10 are saying they are note voting for SK due to SOS. When in fact they have voted 4 teams with weaker SOS's in the top 10. Good news is, there is a thing called the playoffs and it will work itself out.
Turnovers have plaqued Hendo all year. 18 turnovers in 7 games. The Meade County game was no exception, as Hendo turned it over 5 times in the 16-8 win. As for the BG game, it was called with around 6:00 to go in the 2nd qtr with Bowling Green ahead 21-7. Henderson County had outgained BG in total yards at that point something like 130-120 and was on the BG 38 when the game was called. I am sure that Hendo could not have kept up with the BG quick strike offense score for score, but the BG Defense was definitely struggling to stop Hendo as well. It was just a metter of whether Hendo could hold onto the ball as to what would determine whether it was a lopsided BG win or not.

Obviously they were doing something to stop the Henderson O if they forced a punt and ran it back for a TD.

As Blockbuster eluded to, it was the same situation in 2011 before the blowout began. Lafayette was tied with BG before BG scored on an untimed down from the 1 right before halftime. BG went on to win that game 42-20. Does this mean Lafayette played competitive with BG? Sure, it was competitive for a half, but not for a whole game. I just dont think you can consider the Henderson/BG game to be real competitive if its 21-7 when its called after 18 minutes of play.

You can't take anything from the score. The game was called after little more then 1 quarter of play. If you saw the game then you know it was competitive up to that point. Henderson fumbled their first possession after moving the ball well. They gave up one long drive and 2 big plays. Again, 2011 meant nothing, to continue to bring it up costs you and him credibility. BG didn't beat St. X in 2011 and again CC stomped Henderson in 2011. By your logic BG shouldn't have beaten St. X and CC should have stomped Henderson again. Other then St.X and T Henderson could play with and beat any of the other teams in the top 10. The Louisville schools are getting love for no other reason then they are from Louisville.

I will agree with this.

So Henderson had 4 posessions against BG.

1 resulted in a turnover.

1 resulted in a TD

1 resulted in a punt that BG returned for TD

1 ended at midfield and the game was called with BG up 21-7.

Maybe you are right.

Yes, BG did beat ST. X in 2011. They beat them 28-20 at St. X. BG was 15-0 in 2011.

However, I def agree with your last statement. I think there are the 2 green teams and then a BIG bunch of teams that could all beat each other on a nightly basis.

Henderson is a pretty decent team, but, they do turn the ball over way, way too much and that is part of the game. Be it, good play by the opposition or self imposed, a turnover prone team will have issues against the better competiton.
