October 4, 201213 yr Royce White absent from Houston Rockets, cites mental health - ESPN Really curious to see how this plays out. I feel for the guy. At the end of the day, we all have issues we have to deal with. Big or small, you have to work through them. I hope Royce is able to work through his because he has a chance at a life very few get to experience.
October 5, 201213 yr I know he doesn't like flying but why didn't he drive to training camp? He's basically holding until they agree to let him bus to some games.

If this man can't get on a plane after all that woofing he did last year then yes, he becomes less of a man in my book. He looks pretty weak to me.

It's one thing to have a fear of flying, it's another to be a wuss about it and refuse to get on a plane. My mom is terrified of flying, panic attack inducing terrified. She takes something before getting on planes and is fine. He could do the same if he really wanted to.

The trash talking didn't help but I would probably still be inclined to make fun of his manliness. My wife is like UKMF's mom. Take a sleeping pill and wake up in Jamaica. Simple process. White not wanting to fly and holding the organization hostage so he can do his John Madden imitation is disturbing and I hope the Rockets don't give in.

Look, if I have a fear of flying, but am required to do so for my job, I'm going to suck it up and do it. To refuse to do so, makes him a wuss in my book. If his job required him to bungee jump, and he knew that going in, and refused to do so, then yeah I'd consider him a wuss.
