I remember watching a game at Campbell County in 2000. Has that field been greatly improved since that time? I've noticed quite a few references to it.

Somerset's field also has the sun problem, but a decent field nonetheless.

Powell County's field has a sun problem too, they have to delay the game because of it several times a year.

I do get some exercise in when there. When the sun sets I have to move around to see the action.

In the 14th - Knott Central is the best place to watch a baseball game with the roofed grand stand. Hazard now has lights and has improved their playing surface. Lee County has the nicest playing surface infield/outfield, lots of TLC there.

Many nice facilities to play baseball in the 14th.

Lee Co. with lights is the best in the 14th. Hands down IMO. I am talking fields and playing conditions.

Just my thoughts, but Lee Co. is a little short fence-wise to be the best playing field.

Of those I've actually been on I'd rate Tates Creek right at the top along with Henry Clay, Corbin, PRP, St. Henry, Knott County was very nice but very wet the weekend we played there. Louisville Easterns field is very underrated in my book, as well as Bryan Station's. Never really been much west of Bullitt County but I'd like to see a few out that way.

As for the fields that I have seen, Corbin deifintely takes the cake...I played out there for the Sectional tournament this past season, and I was very impressed!

 

Also, Pikeville's field is second to few...It is definitely top notch!

A summer team I coached a couple years back held practices on St. Henry's field. The grass there was kept at the length it was at on purpose. The Freshman coach told me this directly. I used to hit infield there, and I had to absolutely stroke the ball to get a solid grounder to my shortstop. I guess they wanted to keep as many balls in the infield as possible.

Shelby Co. and Henry Co. Both have nice fields. They might not be the best, but they are worth mentioning.

St. Henry is the best I've played at.

I would have to say that Central Hardin's baseball field is the nicest field I have played on thus far in my career. I also like Campbell's and Harrison's fields because of the setup. Clark County's is also pretty nice, great seating. Henry Clay's is pretty nice too.
