October 1, 201214 yr Author  Must hate winning. Who cares where the players come from. The state of KY doesn't produce much Basketball talent. Really? Where is the point guard from for LSU? The Mack kid who played for Butler? Ever heard of Chris Lofton? All players snubbed by UK. Pretty sure they where all good players to name a few.

Give me John Wall and Teague you can have Shelvin Mack and Anthony Hickey. Nothing against them but they just aren't on the same level.

But taking a kid from Kentucky just because he's from Kentucky isn't a favor? I assume the UK in you names represents where you are from. Here is USA we like winning basketball games and championships.

Here you go. 2013 Antonio Campbell Jordan Tribble Darryl Hicks 2012 Jay Johnson Taylor Barnette Charles Foster Tyler Wesley Tamron Manning 2011 Chane Behanan Remy Abell Ryan Taylor George Fant Zach Price Hickey

We are talking about walk-ons. No kid, from Kentucky or not, is going to be a walk on somewhere when they could be a schloarship player somewhere else.

You mean Behanan wouldn't want to walk on at UK and come off the bench vs being a starter on scholarship at UL?

October 8, 201213 yr Is there any chance Cal adds anyone before the season? Trocha? How is he going to add someone to the roster when school has been in session for almost 2 months now?
October 9, 201213 yr How is he going to add someone to the roster when school has been in session for almost 2 months now? I believe a kid can enter school in the spring semester and be eligible to join the team & play then; assuming they meet all the other requirements?
October 9, 201213 yr I believe a kid can enter school in the spring semester and be eligible to join the team & play then; assuming they meet all the other requirements? Depends if it's a Freshman or transfer. I can't imagine they'd waste a year of eligibility on a Freshman enrolling mid-year. Transfers who enroll mid-year in basketball aren't eligible until the next fall at the earliest.

They would waste that year of eligibility in a heart beat, if the kid is good enough for Cal to do that it probably wouldn't matter either way.
