Early Leader for NKY POY?

Featured Replies

Its a 2 person race so far (assuming we're only talking seniors).

In one corner, you've got the leading scorer in the region from a small school that is turning some heads and in the other corner you've got the stud player for a top 2 or 3 team.

So - Romes or Vories?

BTW, if Romes wins that means the Romes genes can claim the POY in both football and b-ball in the same season. Has that ever happened?

Kyle Howard up there?

If Scott can continue their run and Howard continues to post or average a double/double Howard would have to be considered.

Still hard to look anywhere other than Jefferson for Holmes. Best player on best team theory. However, if a Kyle Howard or Vories or Jacobs can lead their team to a regional title????

Right, regional winner's leader is at least a top 3 contender. But remember seniors only so no Jacobs or Jefferson.

Only Seniors. Right now i like Kyle Howard to take it home. He is the most important player on his team in all of nky. Without Howard Scott has no inside presence and without that it makes it hard to win.

Howard and Vories are the top 2 at this time.

You're kidding yourself if you don't think Romes is one of the top 2.

I'd invite you out to watch Vories sometime soon. He is the 'straw that stirs the drink' for HHS.

Strong candidate.

If you consider PCHS NKY, I'd go with Pat Elliot...

I'm not exactly sure who votes in the NKY POY but PC will not be considered.

What are their stats to date??

No clue. I just tried looking on the Enquirer site but they did not have them.

I'd guess Romes is in the 22 PPG range and 10 rebounds per game range.

Vories is not scoring that high but HHS is not a big scoring team.

Howard is probably scoring less than Romes but averaging about the same or a little more in boards.
