September 13, 201214 yr Last night I had a hard time falling to sleep. Got up went to get something to drink and then to the bathroom and back to bed. With my brain wondering it hit me.....What ever happend to the colored toilet paper from back in the 70's? I can rememebr colors in Blue, Pink, and Green. Today just plain ole White on the shelf. :idunno:
September 13, 201214 yr Wow. Flashback! I hadn't even remembered colored tp until now. No flowery prints either. Just plain white.
September 13, 201214 yr Any body else seeing the National Builder Supply ad to the top right for toliets? Kinda ironic.
September 13, 201214 yr I am going to guess that the dyes might have been causing problems for people with allergies or sensitivities to such things?
September 13, 201214 yr My grandma had powder blue toilet paper in her powder blue bathroom as far back as I can remember. She died about 22 years ago, and I don't know that I've seen the stuff anywhere since.
September 13, 201214 yr I have brown toilet paper...sometimes it green though. Not sure why.... Leafy green veggies!

September 13, 201214 yr Nothing worse than a sensitive bum. I know...the hobos just can't take the teasing these days like they used to.
September 13, 201214 yr I'm 34 and can't recall ever seeing this stuff. I only ever remember white. We used to have an old lady that lived in a cottage behind my parents' house. We'd take her grocery shopping every Friday, and she always got white toilet paper with little light blue flowers printed on it. She straight up refused to buy white. On an unrelated note: The same old lady worked for YEARS at The Coach And Four restaurant down in Covington (where The Ascent building is now). She was a waitress and made buddies with all of the Reds players from the Big Red Machine era, and they actually used to come visit her from time to time - Pete used to come 4 or 5 times a year. It was pretty awesome having Pete Rose come strolling down the driveway when we were out playing in the backyard.
September 14, 201214 yr The almighty Proctor and God, I mean Gamble, made a proclamation that it would be beneificial to their bottom line if they stopped manufacturing the color paper. This proves so successful, that shortly there after, the eliminated the prints as well. If you are unhappy with only finding white at Kroger's, I believe you can still find some of these on - line:
